A Hero’s Rest: An RPG Town Simulator – Quest Crafting Tips

Quest Crafting

Your tool of choice is the tiny heads when making the quests, you want to have as many heroes in the middle head as possible when making the quests.

Now how to strategize for quests, You want to make sure that there are always a range of CR covered in your quest log. for example if you have quests from 9-13 and 10-15 you are covering from 9-15 CR ranges, So heroes of CR 7-8 will not find a quest for them and trigger the notification.

When it comes to selecting quests the priority is as follow:

  • Assigned Quests > High Priority Quests ( within their Optimal Range) > Any Optimal Options.

A Good practice is to make sure to always have a 7-10 quest and then quests that cover your current CR range across your whole roster, or if you want to be more hands on deck, then among the heroes that are set as “Leaving” in the Hero Manager.

In the picture, I know that crafting quests for this CR I’ll cover 35 of my heroes, so I’m safe to craft about 5-10 of these quests, I also know that I’ll need a few weaker quests to help the 7 heroes that can’t tackle this, and some stronger ones for the other 8.

Heroes will automatically accept quests that are best for them. You don’t need to give them these quests yourself. When you try to give a quest and it turns green, this means the hero would have taken it on their own. Instead of giving the quest directly, you can click the Star icon to make it high priority. This has the same effect as assigning it to the hero.
