Tactician Cavalry Heroes/Line-Up
By kaity
As always we will start with a review of each hero of the line-up, and then we will make the line-up out of them.
Note: The images show level 1 skills, divided commander and signature skills by 0.298 for the max skills.
Hero Reviews
Note: All skills are viewed at level 1, Divided by 0.298 to get its max level effects.
Hannibal
Both his Sinagture and commander skills do Might and Strategy damage.
While his Signature skill is a secondary strike skill, and it debuffs the enemy commanders hit by it, the debuff decreases both the enemies’ armor and strategy, making the enemies take more damage from both sources and deal less strategy damage
- Please note that Hannibal debuffs all the enemies that hit him.
His ultimate is a single target damage, and it gives him stats based on the debuffs that the enemy commander has.
- Hannibal damage is high, even without accounting for the debuffs and buffs he can get, making him the core of this line-up.
- Hannibal strategy is slightly higher than his might, and his stars give strategy only.
Ashoka
Ashoka Signature skill increases the activation chance of the Commander Secondary strike skills.
This typically needs to be Hannibal whose Signature and customizable skills are considered secondary strike skills.
This activation chance increase scales off both Might and Strategy, 0 stars Ashoka with max signature skill increases Hannibal’s skills chance by 12%., you can say that Hannibal will trigger his skills more than 1.5 of what he does naturally, Typically you want Ashoka to be secondary to Hannibal
His commander skill does both might and strategy damage and increases all the heroes’ secondary strike skills damage, he has secondary strike skills that can benefit from his signature skill, but anyway Hannibal commander better
- Ashoka is able to grant your team control immunity, control immunity means to be immune to control and some other DoT effects such as Rout and Burn, this is a strong counter to Suleiman and the tactician archer line-up in general
Justinian
Justinian’s Commander skill is straightforward, do damage and heal, unlike Hannibal and Ashoka, he only does strategy damage and scales off strategy, anyway, Hannibal is the commander
Justinian signature skill, every time a hero triggers a secondary strike skill the following happens:
- Recover troop units based on his strategy.
- Gets damage reduction that scales off his strategy.
What is worth noting is that the damage reduction lasts only a second but it can go up to two seconds with his 5th star, while also this damage reduction and healing won’t trigger for three seconds
This means Justinian skill in best scenarios will trigger every three seconds. It triggers quite often, making a good combo with the customizable skill “Peaceful Haven”
Cleopatra
Cleopatra’s skill does strategy damage to one target and reduces its damage for 6 seconds, she is not that fit for a commander especially since her Damage reduction does not scale off any stats and thus does not synergize with her signature skill.
Her signature does damage and buffs the commander both might and strategy, this buff is good for Hannibal since he will benefit from both buffs, but Cleopatra’s uptime for the buff is not the brightest, also the buff does not scale off any stats of hers.
Stars
- Cleopatra is a Tavern hero, her 3rd star fixes a little bit of the issue she has with the uptime, while her 5th helps make the buff stronger.
- Justianian is a low-rank MGE hero or available in Kingdon’s Hoard and daily bundles when the server is a month old.
- Hannibal is a wheel hero he is good at 0 stars but his debuff becomes significantly better at high stars.
- Ashoka is a high rank MGE HERO only his 5th star is strong, additional 6% chance for secondary strike activations.
The line-up
Hannibal Ashoka Justinian, or if you don’t have Ashoka it will be Hannibal Cleopatra Justinian.
Customizable Skills
- Ashoka gets Roar of Victory and Act of Mercy BIS is Roar of Victory.
- Justinian gets Peaceful Haven and Crushing Impact BIS is Peaceful Haven.
- If you are using Cleopatra, Justinian gets war tactic instead of Crushing Impact.
- Cleopatra gets Double attack and Crushing Impact.
- For Hannibal BIS is Weak Spot Attack now for the tricky part.
- Use Double Attack on Hannibal .
- But in the rings section, I will mention the use of Radian Guardian, which will replace Double Attack.
- Instead, Hannibal will use Tactical Pursuit.
Rings
- As always DR is welcomed but this team may not need it.
- Radian Guardiant is a great ring for Hannibal, Increasing his signature activation chances multiplicatively, which synergizes with Ashoka additive increase, it’s good even without Ashoka, Remember to not use the “Double Attack” skill on Hannibal to avoid overlap
- Rings of Lion can be a good ring to use on Hannibal in case you can’t afford Radian Guardian.
- I don’t like Ring of Serpent.
- Ring of Crow is decent for Ashoka.
Pros and Cons
As always let’s conclude with the Pros and the Cons
The pros
- Tanky cavalry team even Pikemen won’t like to target you in the middle of a war.
- Hannibal is able to debuff whoever attacks him, which will either Punish whoever tries to attack him in the middle of a war or make him freecast because no one will target him.
- A good team for someone using his important DR rings on another march, and Hannibal is one of the few heroes who utilize Radiant Guardian.
The cons
- The team is not obtainable for everyone and is somewhat expensive to invest in.
