Starting Tips
This guide is to help brand new players to this game and what i would advise is the best action to take when progressing in your first few days. Of course first you will create your account and complete the tutorial.
Once you have established your citadel and you are asking yourself what do I do now? Here are some things to focus on…
The most important thing to do is find yourself an active alliance as fast as you can to progress at maximum speed!
Main Quests
Following the main quests to obtain legendary recruitment tickets and T1 troops.
Upgrading Your Town Center to Level 17
This is key to receive 3 heroes in each march you can send out, increasing skills damage, troop capacity and overall strength within your marchers.
I personally feel once you have town center 17 you can stop using your speed ups and resource tokens and naturally progress your town center and only use speed ups for events to gain additional rewards.
Attacking Barbarians to the Highest Level You Can
On day one you can attack up to level 8 barbarians starting from level 2, I recommend to not spend all of your stamina defeating level 5 barbarians and try to reach level 8 before reset and then use auto-battle to defeat level 8 barbarians until you are out of stamina.
(Don’t forget to use your 50 free stamina daily).
Barbarians also provide a first kill reward for each new level you kill.
Upgrading Technology
It is vital to upgrade your technology, you can determine by your play style and how your starting region is looking wether you will focus economy or military tech at this stage.
- If your alliance is peaceful and there is no threat around your alliance you may want to consider focusing economy tech to gain buffs to gathering speed, troop speed and production of your resource buildings.
- If war is imminent you want to focus military tech to reach higher tier troops and providing troops stats so you are quickly ready for battle.
Training Troops
It is recommended to be as active as you can with training troops, not only will this allow you to gain the most power in the early game but also being ready for war and gathering more resources earlier.
Gathering Resources
Resources are a vital part of the game and the faster you are gathering the more benefit this will provide you in the long run, you should prioritize stamina and events for your marches but when you have spare marches available they should always be gathering resources for further development.
Unlocking Expedition
At town center level 8 you will unlock expedition this is a fun PvE game mode that offers benefits for you, XP books for levelling your heroes and resources.
You should try to complete as far as the game will allow per day to maximise your resources.
Your expedition check can be claimed whenever but will only store up to 7 hours worth of reward so don’t forget to claim it before you go to sleep.
VIP Is Important
As you complete missions you get lots of Empire Coins, I advice you to spend all of them to VIP Level until it gets Level 8 and you get the Research Speed %5 at Level 8. After that it is up to you, but Level 8 is important.
When you check VIP Bonuses you will see lots of great other bonuses too.
