Beginners FAQ
How long is the game?
If we talk about the story content, it will take 10-15 hours to complete (depending on the playstyle, the number of people in the party, etc.). This time is required to complete the quests. But, as practice shows, the game can be played much longer. There are no restrictions on the players’ time in the game. Fun events will continue to happen constantly.
Can you play offline/solo?
Yes.
What should I do if the GPU or CPU load and temperature are too high?
Devs have added an option to lock FPS in the game settings. This will help prevent excessive heating on power-hungry devices.
Is it be possible to change the FOV in the game?
Yes.
Can the number of players in a party be increased?
No, devs are not planning this for now, as it is a matter of delicate balance. The game may become too crowded if there are more players.
What should I do if I experience problems connecting to a host or creating a host?
Ensure that nothing in the operating system itself is blocking traffic (antivirus, firewall, etc.). Also, make sure that your internet connection quality is good.
Can you choose a female avatar?
Yes.
Will there be an option to change the appearance of the tavern?
No, that feature will not be available. However, the amount of decor available in the full game is more than in the prologue, so the interior of the taverns will differ among players.
Will the game be sold anywhere besides Steam?
Yes, but a bit later.
Is it possible to hire staff in the game?
No, this feature is not be available. However, instead, there will be an option to automate some routine processes with special devices in the game. It’s important to understand that tavern routine is part of the gameplay!
Are players able to brew potions themselves?
Yes. The effects of the potions will be varied based on ingredients!
Where does the decor come from?
Decor drops from loot barrels and crates. But be prepared that decor is quite rare.
Will kitchen devices wear out and break?
Yes. Players will need to repair them.
Do devs support the mod community and so on?
Officially, devs do not support the mod community, but devs do not block activities within them as long as they stay within permissible and legal boundaries. Our main concern is that devs do not want players to ruin the full version of the game experience for themselves or others. The prologue version that modders are trying to hack to access hidden content may lead to a disappointing experience since devs blocked content access on purpose and for a good reason. The necessary and complete content is simply not present in any hacked versions. Therefore, if you really want to support us and confirm your interest in the game, please wait for the full version. It will have everything as intended, without problems or issues, and most importantly, it will be official with our support. I believe this is the best strategy.
Important 1! Devs are not affiliated with any mods for the game at this time. If anything changes, devs will let you know. Therefore, any initiatives to install third-party programs are at your own risk.
Are DLCs and the like planned?
Yes, devs would love to prepare something like that in the future. Many ideas arise during development. However, to be honest, a lot will depend on the interest in the game from players. A roadmap of future developments is in the making.
Are there more extensive and complex recipes for dishes and drinks in the game?
Yes. Additionally, the cooking mechanics will be somewhat deepened, and in the full version, some dishes will need to be cooked in several stages within a single kitchen device.
Will saves from First Pints work in the full game?
No, the saves won’t work because the prologue and the full game are physically different builds.
Can all doors be closed to prevent zombies from attacking?
I’m afraid not. Zombies don’t respect locks and closed doors and break in whenever they want. So, closing doors won’t provide safety from these pesky guests. The best way to deal with them is a sword or an axe.
Can furniture be moved in the game?
Yes. You need to remove it from where it stands, and it will move back into the inventory. Then you can place the item in another location. To remove furniture it’s necessary to fully empty it first.
Will there be Twitch streamer integration?
Devs are considering it, and it would be great. But at the moment there are other priorities.
Are items repairable in the game?
Yes, this feature is in the full version. The tools to do so are quiet rare nonetheless.
You mentioned potions. What will they be like?
Potions give temporary effects that boost certain player abilities. There are useful effects like increased health as well as quite amusing ones.
Will there be an option to choose an arachnophobia mode in the game?
Devs definitely plan something like that. In one form or another, this mode will appear in the game. But most likely, only in the full version, not in the prologue (at this moment).
Can some of the routine tasks in the tavern be optimized?
Yes, the full version of the game features some advanced kitchen devices and an automatic washer. This will allow players who want to buy such devices.
What about Steam Deck support?
The game runs well on the Steam Deck. The game’s optimization allows for smooth gameplay.
