Event Guide to Starfall Scavenger
By Tomato
In this guide, we will be talking about the recently added event which goes by the name mentioned above. It involves the operator hunting down broken rocket pieces to recover the scraps which can be then turned in for season exclusive Sky Embers badge and Baldur Model trophy.
Overview
- Event Duration: It will last till the end of the current season which is season 6
- Event Map: Farm and Mines
We can take part in the event during the raids in Farm (Normal, Lockdown or Forbidden Zone) or Mines (Normal or Lockdown mode). While in the raid we can see rockets launching at specific times and if any of the rocket crashes, we can chase the crash site and grab the remains to submit in the event tab. Notable rewards include 2 event exclusive trophies (one for trophy room, one to keep in storage), a badge and some koen. The event is fairly easy and can be finished in a couple of hours.
When do the Rockets spawn?
The rockets spawn in 3 phases throughout the raid. Each of the three phase has its own time stamp and chance to have a crash which depends only on the map and not on the mode. So the rockets will spawn at the same time during every single farm raid.
You can check the screenshots below, one shows the rocket toppling over, the second one shows it exploding and the last one shows the debris spawning from the sky.
The rocket launch’s time stamps for each map are as follows
Farm
- The first set of rockets spawn when the raid has 32 minutes left in it. This one is a hit or miss even if it crashes as most of the players are still near their spawns. Only grab it if your spawn was nearby or you will get ratted.
- The second set of rockets spawn when the raid has 23 minutes left in it. This one is the one you should try to rat and kill anyone who tries looting it. Try to carry a smoke to recover it.
- The third set of rockets spawn when the raid has 15 minutes left in it. This is the one you should try to grab for yourself because by this time, most of the players (in lockdown or forbidden zone) extract with their loot.
Keep in mind that each rocket launch has a chance of crashing but there will always be at least 1 crash per raid.
Mines
- The first set of rockets spawn when the raid has 42 minutes left in it.
- The second set of rockets spawn when the raid has 33 minutes left in it.
- The third set of rockets spawn when the raid has 25 minutes left in it.
Mine is slightly different from farm because out of the three launches, one rocket crashes into three debris spawns spread on one side of the map. So there is not much I can say about the order of looting them. Just try to smoke before looting or you can be the rat and kill others.
The Rocket Debris
This spawns from the sky after a rocket crashes. It drops Rocket Fragment (0.5 kg) when you search it. It can have anywhere from 3 to 6 slots filled with the fragments depending on the player’s luck.
One of it spawns if the rocket crashes in farm and 3 of them spawn when it crashes in Mine. The most I got from one debris was 10 fragments which is one third of what is required to finish the event.
For farm match, it can spawn in cemetery, near recycling station tower, open storage, outside stables, etc. For mines, it can spawn in the areas between PoIs (named locations / Point of Interest). They are usually near each other so expect players to be nearby if the debris is empty.
Tips
- You can put the Rocket Fragments in your case so it becomes pretty easy to collect them during gearless runs. Just spawn in farm, go prone and wait for the debris to spawn. You might die to a rat but you won’t lose anything.
- You can also rat the debris spawn in farm for free kills because at least one player will come to loot it if the debris spawns in the first two waves.
- After finishing the event, you can activate the ‘Baldur Model’ in the Trophy Room as shown below. It will consume one of the two models you get from the event and let you display it.
