Beastieball – How to Transfer Game Files

Transferring the Physical Game Files

By Robin Nightmares

First, go into your existing Beastieball save files – on Windows, it’s found under:

Users>yourname>Appdata>Local>Beastieball

And it’ll likely be similar on Mac. I advise you to back up these saves by copying them in a separate folder first. A folder in your regular documents or desktop works best.

To share a save between devices, copy the files in the “saves” folder and send them to yourself via e-mail, USB, etc (I don’t know how it interacts with .zip compression or anything like that but you shouldn’t need it).

Once you’ve received and downloaded those files on the new device, open the same file location on the new device – again…

Users>yourname>Appdata>Local>Beastieball

And replace its existing save files with your transferred ones. You might also need to delete the “Stumps” file in the same location to make sure the menu screen displays the right files.

To load a backup save, go to the appdata location listed above, and check the backups folder instead of the main save folder. Check the dates on your backups; if it matches the last playtest period, copy the save(s) you want and paste them into the actual Saves file as mentioned above.
