Bramble: The Mountain King – How to Get Survivor Achievement (Easy Way)

Survivor Achievement Guide

This guide helps players get the “Survivor” achievement without doing it the normal way. The normal way is to finish the game without dying or restarting levels. The game is about 2-3 hours long. Dying near the end can be frustrating.

Turn Off Steam Cloud Saves

We will make backup saves as we play. First, turn off Steam Cloud Saves. Go to Steam settings and turn off “Enable Steam Cloud.”

Getting the Achievement

Here’s how to get the achievement:

Making Checkpoints:

  1. Start a new game
  2. Play for a while
  3. When you want to save, quit the game
  4. Go to Users/AppData/Local/Bramble_TMK/Saved/SaveGames
  5. Copy the .sav file to your desktop
  6. Keep playing and repeat these steps when you want to save again

If You Die:

  1. Exit the game
  2. Refresh the SaveGames folder
  3. Delete the save file there
  4. Copy your most recent backup into the folder
  5. Start the game and keep playing

Do this until you beat the final boss. Then you’ll get the achievement.

Helpful Tips and Tricks

  • Watch for the save symbol. This lets you know when it’s safe to make a backup. This is useful during fights with multiple parts.
  • It can help to watch a video of a boss fight before you try it. This way you know what to expect and can prepare.
  • For the Pesta boss fight, you can make a backup before each of the three parts. This way you don’t have to do all three at once.
  • In the Mountain King fight, make a backup after he changes weapons. In the second part, you can make another backup after he hits his weapons together and they glow purple. Look for the save icon after this attack.
