Brighter Shores – Guide for Leather Working

Leather Working

By Trytus

This one is pretty simple but its best to do after you done about 59-71 Merchanting because you will fly by the early lvl discounts but then they will come more often and you will swap hides less often. The discounts you get are HUGE, you will still profit but not nearly as much.

Step by Step

  • Buy hide from Waterfront hide stall.
  • Go east 2 rooms and you will processes it all hides.
    • I’ve come across always use 3 stations to finish they just use different orders on the machines.
  • Teleport and sell it at Outer market leather stall.
  • Bank it at Leatherworks (bank) or Thimble Lane (storage rift) about the same distance.
  • It takes longer if you want to sell it but currently there is nothing to use it on until act 5.
  • If it is like weapon crafting in act 3 you only need about 48 of each kind max then you will start using the next tier.
    • So don’t save to many of the low tier ones when you get to the higher tiers tough you are going to need way more for armor crafting.

What I do when I sell is tp as soon as its finished and on the way to sell them go check the merchant board and try to stack missions until you get 4-6 that you can finish in one go and then do a merchant trip.

Just to complement, if you plan to bank the hides selling them later is going to be extremely inefficient. Unless you have a lot of gold stacked I don’t think its worth it, and even if you do have a lot of gold I assume selling the hides and buying enchantments for XP boosts in other skills is going to be more efficient.

What I did was keep like 48 of each early game leather because that is probably all you need untill you start using t3 leather just like poles from carpentry.

Banking is slightly quicker tough. But I like to run merchanting at the same time so I tp back and check the board on my way to sell anyways.
