Quick Guide to S Grade Equipment
By Raine.
Here’s my take on the S Grade weapons and which equipment should go with them. I would recommend a standard set of equipment for main chapter pushing. Change to different gears to make up whatever you’re lacking.
- Dragon Breath Chest, Guardian Ring x2, Bloody Grail Neck x2.
- Use Dragon Ball Ring or Judgment Ring if you’re lacking damage.
- Use Red Glory Proof Neck if you need more reduction.
Bows
Nomad Bow
- Strength: Most versatile weapon in the game. Increases 10% of your base attack on crit. Easy to use with any skill choices. Ramps up big crit damage with Crit Mastery skill. Sufficient heal with Dragon Breath Chest alone in most cases before chapter 101.
- Weakness: No added damage, purely dependant on basic attack, rage and combo hit procs for damage
Whisperer
- Strength: One of the highest damage weapon in the game. Skill damage as main damage. Multiple dagger generation, able to rage multiple times per rounds with Dagger Rage skill. One of the fancier weapons around. Dont need Elephant and Dragon Breath Chest in most cases if you have Dagger Healing skill and a high crit rate.
- Weakness: Takes alot of time to clear a chapter due to the amount of skill procs per round. Requires alot of items and build to be much better than other weapons.
Angel Bow
- Strength: Best sustainance weapon in the game. Basic attack as main damage and does both types of damage well. Highest heal weapon in the game. Transforms into an angel at red grade!
- Weakness: Takes alot of time to clear a chapter due to the amount of skill procs per round. Requires alot of items and build to be much better than other weapons. Lower damage but better sustainability than Whisperer.
Melee
Durian Hammer / Mushroom Hammer
- Strength: “Tankiest” weapons due to the heals and shield generation. Because it’s tankier, you can afford to sacrifice some defenses to increase your offense to balance out the lack of damage. 100% counter hit works very well against specific bosses with multiple hits and with Counter Soul skill and sufficient HP, you’re near invincible. Most of your damage comes from basic attacks/combo/counter. Do not misunderstand Skyflame Ring being your main damage output!
- Weakness: Low damage output. Towards the advanced chapters (101 and higher), you’ll need to work out attack and skill required to finish the boss before round 30. Requires Combo Mastery, Crit Mastery & Counter Proficiency skills to excel.
Sky Splitter / Balde of Justice / Warrior Sword
- Strength: One of the highest damage weapons in the game. Alot of true damage from red Skysplitter. Sufficient sustainance with Recovery Sword or Life Steal skills selected. Easy to generate Demonic Eye debuff for Vampires at late chapters. Very strong when incorporated with critical build. Benefit the most from basic and combo attack stats. Fancy sword chi!
- Weakness: One of the highest equipment requirement to excel. MUST have Comb oMastery skill to play at advanced chapters. Requires Diego mount for it to be better than other weapons. Balde of Justice rage skill increases combo rate. At late game, it’s at 100% even without that. Subpar yellow and red stats.
Shadow Lance
- Strength: Its the only weapon with lifesteal rate as a passive. Less tanky than Durian Hammer and Mushroom Hammer but still tanky due to lifesteal procs.
- Weakness: Requires alot of HP to not get killed before you can lifesteal. Doesn’t have a significant advantage over the other counter weapons. No real additional damage advantage from poison either.
Staffs
There are some info you should know about them before deciding to use them:
- Staffs have +25 rage each hit. That means a combo hit will generate 50 rage, rage proficiency/combo spirit generates 75 rage and adding Diego mount to that will generate 100 rage (instant rage) every round.
- Skill/lightning/fire damage modifiers are added up and capped at 500%. You get alot of these from Spear of Thor, Ghost inheritance and others.
Star Staff
- Strength: HP based damage and DoT ticks. Ramps up DoT damage with the right skills. Amazing HP based damage with Skyflame Ring x2 . Works well with Ghost inheritance.
- Weakness: Low damage output. Very difficult to scale in late game. Easily drop off after chapter 81 (before Ghost inheritance appeared), not so sure about now. I don’t have enough data to suggest this weapon.
Reaper Staff
- Strength: One of the highest damage weapons in the game, if not the highest. Easy to get Shock Discharge skill which is required for alot of chapter bosses. Extremely high burst damage when built correctly – often finishes a day before round 15. You’ll be amazed at how much damage Super Bolt and Spear of Thor with Crit Mastery stacks can do.
- Weakness: Requires highly upgraded Ghost inheritance to excel. Requires an unorthodox build (Combo Mastery with Combo, or Hits Recovery, Enhanced Recovery, Little Elephant) to stay alive for the first 25 days. Must get War Veteran skill to have sufficient heals and scale attack for later days in the chapter. Must get Spear of Thor to excel.
Bishop Staff
- Strength: Highest ult damage in the game. Looks like a superb PVP weapon, not sure how well it will work in chapters. If +50% ult damage is multiplicative, you are looking at over 13b crit damage with max crit damage, skill damage and 100m attack.
- Weakness: I don’t even know where to start…
TLDR
Use Nomad Bow, Guardian Ring x2, Bloody Grail Neck and/or Glory Proof Neck. You don’t deserve to know the rest…
