Firstly first

Backup your save files!

This save file is named cq3_save0.dat so it will appear as the first save file in the game. If you already have save files, you can rename this file by changing the 0 to the next number available.

Example

If you have 3 save files then they will be named cq3_save0.dat, cq3_save1.dat, cq3_save2.dat. So you would rename this new save file cq3_save3.dat and it will be the 4th save in the game and it will not overwrite your own save files.

Important note

It would be best to grab every item on every playthrough. I didn’t. I went straight to the end around NG+3-5 and I had to do NG+9 several times (and a lot of Tower diving) to get everything to 999. Based on what I’ve seen while playing, I hypothesize that every item will be level 999 by the time you complete NG+9 (without you having to purchase any upgrades) if you get every single item on every single playthrough.
