Chronicon – T600+ Saw Master / Tear It Up Mechanist

Spin to Win V1 – T600+ Saw Master Build Guide

I’ve taken it to T700 with 2500 mastery and almost maxed out relevant expedition tree nodes, but it’s still pushing forward at a decent rate, though bosses are a bit slow.

  • Codex of healing touch on auto-cast for sustain.
  • Scroll of soul warp on mouse button for zipping around (build has quite low movespeed).
  • Hunker down + tear it up on second mouse button (DPS + ammo generation when needed + additional tankiness).
  • Ultimate on one button.
  • Saw drones on other button.

Be careful not to pull too many groups at once as the amount of rip blades will drop the FPS.

The main mechanic is behind the “Split blades” + “Splitting throws” to spawn multiple Rip Blades. Both Tear it up and spawned blades are used to trigger “Grip of death” beast artifact to pull groups of mobs after you as you keep warping around the map to accumulate larger groups while triggering “Sudden strike” / “Damage limbs” to interrupt / stun enemies. The damage comes from stacking weaken from drones (“Entity’s Inclination” artifact) and puncture together, causing minor DPS ramp. It’s further increased by Loose blades, which deal greater damage than the skills that trigger them (3pc set + “Circle of slaughter” mastery).

The DPS is not that great, but thanks to 3pc set killing only one enemy causes a chain reaction of all mobs in the area to die as well due to 3pc set ability. When this happens, the Rip blades search for new targets, pulling them closer into those high dps Loose Blades, and killing them as well.

Ammo management is trivial due to 60% of not using ammo from mastery + generation from hunker down.

There’s plenty of room for improvement – I put gems / enchantments on a whim, without any number crunching, just using what felt best. Plus there’s still some +exp in enchantments / elixirs, so those can be swapped out as well when pushing higher tiers. I think the build might be over-tanking it, so it should be possible to remove the “all resist” enchant on boots and put something nice in there (kill haste?) or even replace the boots entirely with something else.

Note: Missing max ammo enchant on off-hand and some mana reduction enchants that should no longer be required.
