Quick Guide to Optimal Fish Farming
The plan is to choose a few fish types for each farm. This helps you breed the best fish. These fish are used in recipes that make a lot of gold and don’t need many farm or seasoning items. This makes it easier to grow and dispatch the needed items.
Here are the fish and recipes to use:
Blue Hole Shallows
- *Marlin (for Marlin and Soybean Paste Roast) – 2109 gpi
Blue Hole Medium Depth
- *Great Barracuda (for Great Barracuda Canape) – 1179 gpi
- Sailfish (for Boiled Sailfish and Seaweed) – 1768 gpi
Nocturnal
- *White Shrimp (for Humboldt Ink Pasta) – 1554 gpi
- *Humboldt Squid (for Humboldt Ink Pasta) – 1554 gpi
Blue Hole Depths
- *Bluespotted Stargazer (for Sweet and Sour Stargazer) – 2164 gpi
Glacier Passage
- *Dumbo Octopus (for Dumbo Takoyaki) – 2331 gpi
- Pelican Eel (for Pelican Eel Jelly) – 2484 gpi
Glacial Area
- *Antarctic Octopus (for Antarctic Octopus Carpaccio) – 1747 gpi
- Narwhal (for Narwhal Miso Soup) – 2220 gpi
Hydrothermal Vents
- Waptia Fieldensis (for Seasoned Waptia Fieldensis) – 1222 gpi
- Pikaia (for Pikaia Ramen) – 1726 gpi
Also Good
- *Tomato Egg Soup – 3374 gpi
Setup
Start breeding these fish early. You need hundreds of meat to max out, and each fish only gives 5-7 meat. Keep your farm about 80% full. Don’t harvest fish if it would make your farm less than 80% full. Check each morning to remove any new fish that don’t belong.
No Diving Plan
If you don’t want to dive, avoid recipes that use seaweed. Seaweed seeds need Bei, and you need to dive for items to sell to Duwa to grow seaweed. Stick to the fish marked with a * if you don’t want to dive.
