Quick Guide to Warchief Discection Build

The general consensus has always been the same for the Warchief talent tree. Go big on HP and attack scaling. What may differentiate my tree from some others is that I don’t invest much into attack Area but that’s mostly it.

Main points will be 5 Tenacity, 5 Behemoth Heart and 3 Overpower. This will be both your main attack and defense with what your survivability and damge will scale.

I personally go for Pummel, Pulverise and Recklessness and then Overwhelming Momentum completely bypassing Wild Swing and Cleave.

Wether you pick Iron Will and Unmovable is up to you.

Gear

For items you want to go for Attack% and Health + Health%. You can fit master offers and heal% too if you get Uniques.

Best in Slot is definitely the Whale of the Desert Seas for chestplate, Big Foot for feet and Waste as the belt. This makes you really chunky and your talents convert it into good Attack and Regen bonuses. Shy Who Luud and Karkadann are both good weapons. It is up to preference which one you use. Sacred Blood is a good item for Life Regen but is usually overkill. Fall of the King is also a very good Headpiece for this build. Use your relic, ring and jewel slots for dice and offers. Get good shardpull on your gloves because this build a lot of AoE.

Gods

As for god offers:

Ninh has a good Attack blessing with both attack and area, it’s a solid option. She can also give you area with Persistance but not much beyond pure aoe. Her legendary, Quake, can mess up potential First Strike builds.

Summer is a good contender for the best Attack blessing damage as her baseline ties with Morts in Kront’s case. She can also offer you Power% with Intensity which scales with Warchiefs damage. Her legend offers aren’t really that good either.

Krom also has a very good attack blessing, his area scales more than Ninhs so it’s also good to take. God of War is a very good legendary for this build. You won’t be able to use rupture but him also having War Pact massively boosts your overall damage.

Justice is awesome. Peace of Mind gives you a lot of value with the sheer amount of HP you build. Pandemonium can fill some gaps too if you only managed expert offers elsewhere. Celestial Wings give you good movespeed you might lack. Piety and Reprisal give you even more sustain. Piety boosts Inner Peace’s exp too.

Winter is not bad to take either, she offers a lot of value to farming runs if you have good trigger discipline. Frost Ring has an immediate freeze that applies before Warchief’s damage is calculated so you have a 33% chance to reap all the benefits from Shatter, Icebound and Hoarfrost. Path of Frost is also good movespeed. World Freeze and Chill to the Bone can also apply frost without messing up first strike builds.

Fates have a lot of value for Warchief as well. Vitality is HUGE as are other things like Curiosity and Serendipity (if you go for Winter). First Strike, of course, is very consistent with Warchief and the 600% applies almost all the time. Fleet Footed is a straight upgrade too.

The other gods are kinda lackluster for this build I wouldn’t settle with them. Time has nothing to offer, Mort is too curse heavy and Leigong uses many small hits.

All in all it’s a very consistent Build when it comes do damge, you could clear d30 with any Attack blessing.

Maybe not Leigong’s though.

  1. havent seen it mentioned anywhere, but is qareen a solid pick for neck? seems like a solid pick with damage% and attack%, trying to decide between that and demon soul

  2. Just had a run with God of War and first strike along with rampage attack lvl 19 and mountainous might
    stomps for over 300k, every boss except djinn died from a single hop, djinn took I think 4-5? or something
    everything on and quite a while off screen would instantly die when button was pressed
