Quick Guide to Life Skills
In life, we gain knowledge, improve our abilities, and sometimes create new things. This happens because of our experiences, the time we spend, and how we live. The game “Devas of Creation” works in a similar way. If you want to be the best cook, you need to practice cooking a lot. If you want to find rare minerals, you need to do a lot of mining. This idea applies to other activities too. In the game, these activities are called “Life Skills.”
Leveling up your life skills will increase your capability in them; your proficiency. This allows you to achieve greater feats in them.
For example, increasing your mining proficiency will allow you to collect rarer and better ores, while increasing your crafting proficiency allows you to use those to craft better gear than you previously could.
Crafting
Crafting is the primary way to obtain the best gear, be it weaponry, armory; your hands are to make whatever your heart desires. Crafting allows players the power and freedom to create customized powerful armor and weapons to enhance their character’s force.
Mastering the Craft
Just like with any other skill, the more practice and work you invest into crafting the better you will be at it. Progressing in crafting will award you with knowledge and insight on art of it, allowing you to create gear better than the last, with stronger aspects and better attributes.
An Artist’s Stigma
Art, although practical, will always have an element of surprise. When trying out a new color combo, a new style; you never know when your next masterpiece will come. In crafting, it’s not all that different. Occasionally, the gear crafted can include special perks that improve its effectiveness – these perks can include elemental enhancements, boosts to your stats or even special abilities; making hand-made gear more valuable not only in combat and adventuring, but also in the world of marketing and trade.
Cooking
Cooking is very important anywhere and everywhere, it keeps you alive, keeps you on your toes; healthy (or not). Either way it’s key to human beings, and their livelihood. It is no different in Devas of Creation, where cooking allows you to brew different drinks and potions, and cook proteic meals to keep you tight in battle, and even in classic adventures.
A Silver-plated World
During the player’s journey, many ingredients will be found in the wild. These ingredients can in turn be foraged and used for various cooking purposes! Each brew and food provide numerous different buffs and/or special abilities; stat boosts, regeneration, etc. These are referred to as [Consumables].
Consume Responsibly
Consumables created through cooking can really give you a tide-turn in combat or help players navigate through challenging environments; you are the Chef, and there will be many different menus to help in many different occasions. So remember to not waste any resources, as you never know when’s the next time you’ll really need them.
Fishing
Fishing is the art of the sea. Without eat, not only many people would go hungry, but also a lot of today’s medicine and dishes wouldn’t exist to aid you in battle.

Fishing is one of four different resource collecting skills, that allows you to get many different resources to use in cooking or sell for some quick cash, by using a fishing rod on many glowing little whirlwinds in water bodies.

Mining
How would the world fend wars and creatures, bring about peace, if not properly equipped? It’s hard imagining surviving in such a world as this without proper defense and offense. It was only through mining – the task of collecting the many different minerals hidden in rocks – that it was possible to bring about such equipment.

Mining is one of four different resource-collecting skills, that allows you to scavenge the rocks scattered about for valuable minerals and sigils, which can then be used for crafting more powerful gear.

Lumbering
Ahh, the great sport of lumbering. Tables, chairs, practice weapons, dummies; things to keep you warm and even houses! All came from the sacred material called wood. Not to mention the natural forest protection given by those tall trees. Lumbering is learning how to take advantage of that.

Gathering
Gathering is the art of foraging nature and its resources. It was actually the fundamental way of survival for many species during thousands of pre-historical years… And even though nowadays it is less seen, it is still plenty useful and can really save you some times.
Gathering is one of four different resource-collecting skills, that allows you to harvest products of nature like mushrooms to then use for cooking or sell for some quick cash, by using a scythe on glowing bushes.
