Confuse means the imposter will do things to make you think it’s a different doll. This can only happen once in each game. The imposter will change roles with another doll, and that doll will do something during that hour. In the game’s story, the imposter might do something they don’t usually like or do.

No, he can’t. The other dolls’ information is the only thing you can trust right now.

Yes, he could pretend to be someone who hates him and fake his death.

How can I tell if the imposter is tricking me on higher difficulties?

That’s what makes it challenging. You have to look at all the clues carefully. If none of the dolls completely match the clues, but one is close even though some evidence doesn’t fit, then you should start thinking about the dolls who like to confuse.
