Reach vip 6 (2nd construction line) and vip 9 (free golden puzzle every day), leveling battle center and tower if you don’t farm Russel event (for T6 you’ll need both at lvl 25 and leveling means buying victory badges and toolboxes with gems).

I suggest this order:

Vip 6.
Battle center to lvl 17-19.
Vip 9.
Battle center again.
And tower last if needed (but tower 25 is needed for battle center 25).

You can also put some gems into roulette (good heroes) and secret armory (armament).

Answers and Questions (Additional Info)

Should I continue upgrading items to their next level or should I keep my resources for better versions? Or is the only way to get better versions, by continually upgrading them?

Backpack is the best as it affects all troop types while everything else is troop type specific (helmet and gun for snipers, armor and knife for infantry, boots and pants for raiders) go for all until blue / violet (1st lvls are cheap enough). Then backpack till red.

Same with the vehicle? I received a yellow Beetle. And have some resources available. Do I upgrade the Beetle or keep my resources for a better vehicle (as I see there is different vehicles).

Vehicle buff is active even without it equipped, upgrade it to the max. Not sure now but when they introduced vehicles there was an event unlocking 2nd one after maxing 1st … Rest of them are paid only (and cost like $300 each …).

When attacking zombies on map you choose your hero(s), and then do you just go with the default troops being selected? Does the game choose the correct troops for the hero you chose or do you have to rearrange/reselect the troops that best go with said hero?

For zombies it does not really matter much, if you have Peggy or Russel and not picked automatically then use them manually (unless really low lvl) once they are equal lvl to highest one you have the game picks them for you.

For PvP auto picker sucks. Compose whole squad manually and save them as preset for quick usage.

How to get more def fabric and Cardon steal?

Antpede weekly event for alliance and arena of doom are the sources. You might get like 2 or 3 caron steel here and there in other events but antpede gives hundred in higher levels … and higher equipment upgrades need like 600 carbon steel. Fabric is also chance drop from hives

Hq8 or 10 is max for free move, after that you need immigration visa to move.
