To unlock characters in Story Mode, complete specific battles:
- Goku (Super) Ultra Instinct -Sign-: Finish “Goku’s Mentor” in Jiren’s story
- Goku (GT): Complete “Number One Spot” in Vegeta’s story
- Majin Vegeta: Finish “The Long-Awaited Battle” in Vegeta’s story
- Vegeta (GT) Super Saiyan 4: Complete “Pushing The Limit” in Goku’s story
- Nail: Finish “Piccolo Returns to His Birthplace” in Piccolo’s story
- Videl: Choose “Attempt to stop the fight” in Gohan’s story and finish the battles
- Mecha Frieza: Complete “Frieza Descends on Earth” in Frieza’s story
- Yajirobe: Finish “Vegeta’s Secret Maneuver” in Goku’s story
- Pan (GT): Complete “Defend Earth from the Frieza Force!” in Gohan’s story
- Uub (GT): Finish “The Power of One, The Power of All” in Goku’s story
- Cui: Complete “Frieza’s Assassination Order” in Vegeta’s story
- King Cold: Choose King Cold in Frieza’s story and win the “Parent-Child Tournament”
- Broly (Super): Finish “Goku’s Strength” in Goku’s story (or get with pre-order)
- Lord Slug: Complete “Android 17” in Piccolo’s story
- Cooler: Choose Cooler in Frieza’s story and win the “Brothers Fight Together” battle
- Bojack: Finish “Combined Power” in Gohan’s story
- Tapion: Complete “Final Battle with Zamasu” in Future Trunks’s story
- Spopovich: Choose “Stay calm” in Gohan’s story and win the next battle
- Kale: Finish “Surpass god, Trunks” in Future Trunks’s story
- Dyspo: Complete “Virtuous Warrior, Villainous Warrior” in Frieza’s story

Some battles only open after finishing others. Complete these battles to unlock:

World Tournament Unlocks
Win these tournaments once to get:

Zen-Oh’s Orders Unlocks
Complete these tasks:
- Gogeta (GT) Super Saiyan 4: Use any Gogeta 10 times
- Super Garlic Jr.: Use any Piccolo 10 times
- Dr. Wheelo: Use Dr. Gero 10 times
- Metal Cooler: Use any Cooler 10 times
- Android 13: Use any Android 20 times
- Baby Vegeta: Use any Vegeta 10 times
- Syn Shenron: Make 7 wishes with regular Shenron
Super Shenron Wishes
It’s better to buy these with Zeni at player level 20:
- Goku Black: Wish for him
- Fused Zamasu: Wish for him

- Goku (Mini): Get by pre-ordering or buying the pre-order pack in the store
