How to Recolor
- Download Knola’s material recreation and navigate to the Content folder of your UE project in File Explorer (Not UE).
- Create an SS folder, then a Characters folder. Place the Common folder from the zip into there.
- Open UE, and you should find M_ChrToon in the path below:
- Find the material you want to change the color of in FModel, and find its parent (should be listed right at the top of the file). Create an instance of the base mat into the BaseMI folder named what the parent is.
- Knola’s .zip should come with most of these, if not then copy one and name it accordingly.
- Create an instance of that and name it the same as the instance you plan on changing. Move it to your character’s Materials folder.
- Recreate every value that’s modified in your instance in FModel, except change Color1, GradientAdjust1, and any other values depending on how you want it to look
