Drill Core – Quick Factory Guide (Production Capacities and Upgrades)

Guide to Factory Production

How much Iron/Swarmlit the Factory makes daily per the number of Factories constructed?

  • With the 10% upgrade, a single factory produces 1 iron per minute.
  • A day (with the upgrade that increases the daytime length) seems to be about 2 minutes and 35 seconds.
  • So a single factory nets you 2 1/2 pieces of iron per day.

A second factory seems to reduce the timer for iron down to 53 seconds, giving you 2 iron and pretty much 95% progress towards the next one.

Times might be off by 1-2 seconds.

Its actually better to place down a factory +swiftbase, since the 40% increase in speed is much higher than the seemingly roughly 12% increase that you get for the second factory.

Note: Keep in mind, the swiftbase will only work on the FIRST factory and wont have any effect on any other factories.

Only the 1st factory is normally worth the price.

Depends, if for some weird reason, you really REALLY want to drown in iron or swarmlit, an early second factory can be fine. Its only 4 days to start making a profit. But in that case i´d rather use a swiftbase + factory.

But the cost is also a build slot. Which adds anywhere from 1 iron to 2 iron 1 swarmlit to the effective cost.

Whats the best buildings to pair with swiftbase?

All of them.

But using them for Watchtowers maximizes your damage at night, which is important for Super Late Game.

Also putting one next to the first Factory gives you a small economy boost.

Bonus tip

Drilling the Core is against company regulations, and will be penalized as a deliberate attempt at vandalizing company property.

And depending on its construction, your drill might come already pre-cored.
