DUCKSIDE – Gameplay FAQ

Beginners FAQ

What is Faith?

When you kill non-player characters, you can find trophies – hunting licenses. Also, slightly different trophies – duck down – can be found by killing other players. To find such a trophy, the killed player must be in the game world for some time.

Trophies should be brought to special monuments found in the game world – idols. Each trophy brought to the idol slightly increases the overall Faith indicator for the entire server.

When you reach the maximum indicator, the reward will come from the sky – a series of airdrops with valuable loot and unique weapons.

What is Raid House?

A special house with a door with a combination lock, containing some precious loot can be found in the game world. The code was shared today. But you’ll have to be particularly attentive….

Sleeping

When players leave the game, their game characters remain in the game world. Other players can find the sleeping avatar and kill/rob him. In order to be sure of the safety of the loot, you should exit the game in a well-fortified base.

Destruction

Player-built structures can be destroyed. There is a simple stability system: if you destroy the first floor of a building/its foundation, the second and subsequent floors will also be destroyed. We have added sound and visual effects for construction, upgrade, and destruction of buildings.

Duck Skins

Each player is assigned one of the skins. It cannot be changed, because it is linked to SteamID

What is Altar and Nest?

Players play as ducks, and to respawn they need to build a nest. They can build multiple nests, even in trees. After building a house, in order to claim it as his own and be able to place items in it and make upgrades, the player must install an Altar, available to players in the crafting menu.
