Dungeonborne – How to Win Clotho’s Trial

Guide to Win Clotho’s Trial

By maksone4ka

The developers launched an event and oh my god, this is unheard of generosity. A ticket to the event costs 30k gold, having won 2 times, you already go to 0, and getting these 3 victories is easy as pie. So the whole month we just play this 3×3 and farm money and stuff.

But who is the best to play?

There are several strategies:

First, let’s imagine that your team consists of 3 characters of the same class. Then who is the best to be?

I will say right away that 3 Frosts are stronger than 3 other identical characters, so if you want to play for the maximum result, then you need to be a Cryos nerd.

The second strategy is to simply take the one you play best on, that’s what I do and play on DK.

The third real strategy is to take more heals on the rogue, gain a lot of agility and quick interaction with objects for the rogue, try not to die, you go invisible and run from enemies, when the zone will narrow and damage, you stand outside the zone and constantly eat heals, enemies often have only those HP banks that give at the beginning to everyone. If you have more heals, you can pick it up with the corpse, you will simply outlive them.

If you are playing in a party with a friend, I recommend dressing up and having a lot of Life per hit on the DK, and let your friend play the priest, I have already met such and the fight went like this:

I pull this dualist with LoH, we surround him with three of us and just chop (the three of us were also dualists, but without the LoH mechanics), so he killed us solo under the priest’s heal, by the way, what I don’t know is whether the priest had a shield or immortality, but I’m leaning towards the second option.

True, 3 cryos will ruin such a party.

So far, the maximum I’ve made is 7 wins with 1 loss, but let’s be honest, when you play solo, and not on a cryos, but a DK, starting each game naked (yes, I don’t take any gear with me), then making a perfect run is quite difficult.

I also want to add that you need to use all possible advantages to win.

  1. Drink a shield potion + HP regen potion 7 seconds before the start of the battle.
  2. Always take a grenade with you, sometimes against a healer or LoH you will need an incendiary one, against fast-running creatures a thunder jar, if you are a mage and want to get away from someone – use a barrier. And of course, if nasty crossbowmen are playing against you, then smoke will help you.
  3. If you do not have any items, then at the beginning of the match you are given purple gear and with the help of jewelry you can always collect 2-4 passive effects from your stats. Sometimes it is even possible to collect some kind of set.
  4. Do not forget to ping your allies, you can indicate where to go, where to stand or show enemies (by pressing the mouse wheel).
  5. Always think about tactics, you do not have to run and bang your head on enemies. If you have 2 mages in your team, you can stand at spawn and 90% of the time the enemies will come to you themselves, where you will have an advantage.
  6. I also noticed that people even with 7 victories do not know how to switch weapon slots. I saw how DK, who remained 1×1 against a rogue, ran with a two-handed sword, although in the second slot there was a mace and a shield. The rogue ran with a crossbow and daggers. Always think about which weapon is better suited for a particular moment of the game. You will not hit the mages in the shield with a mace when you have two swords, will you?
  7. And of course, you need to use the terrain. For example, a druid running away from a warrior on low HP can block the entrance, door with his trees, put up another barrier and pray calmly.
  8. Think about which target will be more profitable to kill first. Often it is a priest or some mage.
