Dystopika – Guide to Basics

Basics

You want to make a city in Dystopika? It’s easy! First, click the building menu in the top left corner. Choose a district to build in. Each district has different types of buildings. Click on a piece of land to place a building. You can cycle through buildings by right-clicking.

After placing a building, smaller buildings will show up around it. You can light them up with ads and lights using the icon below the building menu. To make your buildings taller, click and hold the top of a building and drag it up. This changes the building’s shape too. You can also rotate buildings by clicking and holding the middle and dragging left or right. To move a building, click and hold the bottom.

Now that you have some buildings, let’s make them look better. Click the lamp icon under the building icon, then the down arrow to see the decorations menu. You can unlock more decorations by building more and expanding your city.

Billboards are a must-have in a dystopian city. You can toggle through ads, import your own images, and cover your city with them. To place an ad, select the size (S, M, L, XL) and click on the side of a building. Right-click to toggle through ads or import your own images.

Logos are also important. They come in different shapes, sizes, and colors. Alpha Corp and Omega Corp districts have their own logos. Place logos on the side of buildings as neon signs.

Text signs are similar to logos but you can write any word or sentence you want.

There are also misc decorations like landing pads, factories, antennae, highway indicators, and hologram projectors. They each have their own unique functions.

Some objects are locked until you meet specific goals, like making new buildings or earning achievements. To unlock everything, go wild on your city! Create lots of buildings, cover them with decorations, and destroy and rebuild when you’re done.

Lastly, you can save your city, change the weather, music, time of day, and use camera mode to customize how your city looks. Have fun building your dystopian city in Dystopika!
