EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 6 – How to Farm on Inferno Difficulty

Mission: Town of Darkness (Mission 128.5)

By All Talk and No Fight.

This mission happens in a town at night. You have one AI squad of Wing Divers and seven small teleportation anchors that create enemies. The anchors spawn different types of enemies:

  • First anchor: grey ants
  • Two anchors on the right: red ants and spiders
  • Middle anchor: excavation drones
  • Last three anchors: regular androids, with one spawning small grenadier androids

There’s also one Flamer Nyx on the map.

You can approach this mission in two ways:

  • Use strong weapons and armor to clear the first four anchors, then use the Nyx to finish the last three.
  • Go straight for the Nyx and use it to clear most or all of the anchors.

When using the Nyx, kill the enemies around each anchor, then shoot the anchors yourself to save the Nyx’s ammo.

This mission is harder for Air Raiders. It’s better to farm this mission with other classes first or play it in co-op mode.

To get level 50 weapons, I played mission 70 on the hardest difficulty. I used a level 39 Minion Buster and three aerial reverser grenades. This helped me and the AI stay alive against the armored cosmonauts.

If this is too difficult, try playing the mission on Hardest first to get weapons like the level 68 Blazer. Then use these new weapons to help with Inferno mode.

I made a simple drawing showing where the enemy anchors and the Nyx are on the map.

You can use the weapons you get from Inferno mode to make other Single Player levels easier.

The first time I beat this mission on Inferno, I got a level 95 weapon. This weapon has helped me play the mission more times to get even more weapons. I use the Nyx for cover and kill the androids myself to get extra weapons.
