Tips to Weapons and Bosses
Tips on using melee lines against bosses
For any infuse perk, would recommend having a Presto charging speed Line to get the infuse up. Even if you get interrupted most times, the infuse will become active and add to your damage.
If you find the Headstrong Banner along the way, it’ll be a ground pound that disrupts most bosses if you pull it off.
Funereal Slash has a little stagger on the second hit and sometimes can duck under high horizontal attacks.
Falling Star can stagger some bosses and if I’m not misremembering, has a squat at the beginning that might such under an attack.
Though a number of bosses don’t stagger to the last two, but do to things like: Wrathful Charge, Headstrong Banner, Coastal Harpoon.
Malanno weapons
From what I can see so far with the Malanno element highlighted (this does not account for weapons that have high Malanno stat) This also only accounts for weapons that I’ve discovered / have in me possession)).
- Sword: Silver Wasp, Emerald Maiden, Thyrus’ Tail
- Colossal greatsword: Colossal Greaser
- Colossal hammer: Toxic Avenger, The Toll of Illness
- Greatsword: Griso’s Betrayal, Bargniff’s Riddle
- Saber: Curved Scalpel,
- Morning star: Stubborn Plague
- Polearms: Consumed Pitchfork, Golden Sting
Important note
The ones that are more specific to:
- Imbued heavy attack.
- Light attack, imbued heavy attack.
- Imbued jump attack.
There be a lot of testing to do on this one.
- Saber: Black Cat’s Tail, Fatherly Support
- Sword: Huntress’ Mercy
- Colossal Hammer: Antique Shell
- Colossal Greatsword: Thyrus Slayer
God of strife tips
Best advice I could give is play and be patient with her. Her ranged attacks in the spear and bow are very easy to parry in both phases if you can see them coming and if you need to heal she’ll probably start shooting one but you can react and dodge out to cancel your heal and keep trying that until she does something else and you can get that heal off.
In the meantime her ranged attacks are free stagger build up, and once you get her to her second phase the pillar attacks summon the orbs which only attack you if you can see them on your screen, so make sure if you can see any that you’re ready to parry for more free stagger.
If you are feeling good and confident you can also full parry her longsword combos that remind me of Malenia if you place a well timed dodge also. Most of her chains can also just be sprinted away from and then as its finishing you can do a running heavy for a free hit and rinse and repeat. Good luck maskless one!
