Euro Truck Simulator 2 – Used Truck and AI Employees Guide

Used Truck Inspection

When buying a used truck, it’s important to check its condition. The game shows star ratings, but this isn’t enough because:

  • It doesn’t show how worn each part is.
  • A high rating can hide badly worn parts.

It’s best to check the wear on all parts and the overall wear by looking at the truck details. Drivers won’t use a new truck if:

  • Any part is more than 20% worn.
  • The truck has 30% permanent wear.

Maintenance Program

After getting a truck, drivers will take care of it:

  • They fix any damage after each trip.
  • They replace parts that reach 20% wear during a trip.

The first trip might cost a lot because:

  • All damage will be fixed.
  • Parts close to 20% wear will likely be replaced.

Undrivable Truck

Drivers won’t use a truck if:

  • Any part is more than 20% worn (for new trucks).
  • The truck has more than 30% permanent wear.

These trucks show up as red with an exclamation mark in the Truck Manager. If not fixed in 3 days, the driver will send you a message. To fix this:

  • Drive the truck to a garage yourself and replace worn parts.
  • For high permanent wear, get the truck fully restored.
