Factorio – Modular Mall Blueprint

Modular Mall

By Bison.

A modular mall I made with circuit to ease the construction of a base without logistic bots. Mainly suited for low throughput (so perfect for malls) but could be use for science production chain.

Only use 4 combinators per cells (/wagons) and there is no constant combinator indicating recipes, it automatically forward all crafted item in the wagons (but that can be remove if the crafted item is not an ingredient for an other recipe (like logistic chest/lamps/etc).

It could be possible to make fluid pipe pass between blue inserters to handle recipe with fluid ingredient. Made to fully work using vanilla mechanics but would work better with mods (like 4-items stack inserters etc).

How it looked on my playthrough of K2SE:

Using it to kickstart my science prod in space:

Instructions:

  • Hold shift + left click and drag until the desired length (you can extended it later).
  • Setup the recipes.
  • <optional> Setup the yellow chest filter.
  • <optional> Setup the condition for the blue inserters (by default they will be active until one item is crafted in the yellow chest, they can be setup all with 1 constant combinator with signal B).
  • <optional> If you don’t want your item to be forward in the wagon because it can’t be used as an ingredient anymore (speaker/lamp/filter inserters/etc), disconnect the red cable of the yellow chest.
  • Plug the input, I gave an example on how to make the input and how to connect but it’s up to you on. I used blue chest for the example but work fine with belt (or even train).
