Fortress Saga: AFK RPG – Quick Guide to Metal Hero

Understanding Metal Guide

By Kaiton.

TLDR

Metal is the best solo dps hero outside of end game meph meta. Even in ATK build where she does not have ATK amp at 3 stars, she still deals at least 2x of ungula when she’s equal level with similar gears. Needless to say, she’s definitely the strongest hero in hp build, especially in early game. I cannot test her dmg vs fort build so I cannot say if she’s better than fort build or not.

Active Skill:

  • Metal summons Watson who gives her a huge stat boost (20x with ex).
  • Watson basically spams skill dmg as normal attacks. Metal is so powerful for this reason. It’s like being able to spam active skills.
  • Yaksha works to boost her normal ATK speed, which in turn basically boosts her skill dmg spamming via normal attacks. However from my tests, using a second tank for sanctum amp is better than using yaksha. If you can keep Metal alive while using yaksha, then it’s possible for yaksha to be a better buffer.
  • Watson does not stack with Iris’s sheep at all but seems to stack multiplicatively with Ruin/gildong.
  • Watson cannot be sacrificed to meph.
  • Make sure Watson is summoned before ruin’s buff applies. Summoning Watson after ruin’s buff applies doesn’t work.

Passive Skill:

  • It’s pretty useless. 50% of ATK is nothing without having skill% being applied on top.

Her ex is of course a must have.

Boss Team Comp with Metal in HP Build:

  • Metal, Mael/Luna, Ruin, Winter/Malleus, Milena, Styria.

Farming:

  • Since Metal can’t receive Iris’s buff, she’s not good for farming. If you want to use Metal in farming, use gildong instead of Iris but it won’t be as optimal.

Should You Pull Her?

  • If you’re a new player, she’s great to use until you reach end game. She’s been confirmed to be stronger than ruin+iris comp. She needs to be 3 stars for her x10 HP amp.
  • If you’re at end game using ATK build with meph, then no. She’s very very far from what violet+meph can do.
