Hero Comparison Chart

Despite having the same names and stories, heroes in lunar and solar kingdoms have different attributes and provide different benefits when appointed in the hero council. Often, players moving from one realm group to the other have some difficulties in identifying which heroes do what and where.

We hope this comparison may help the players navigate this feature better when moving to Lunar/Solar. The comparisons will be looked at in more detail throughout using a key to distinguish between the 2 realms.

Gathering Heroes

Gathering heroes are a vital part of the game if you are wanting to collect resources to further build your City, train troops and complete research in your University. You can appoint these heroes and use them in your marches to gain the most benefits and achieve faster gathering, for more resources in a shorter space of time.

Troop Training / Healing / Upkeep / Hospital Capacity

These heroes are best used to boost training speed, requiring less speed-ups to train, alongside boosting your training capacity, healing speed, hospital capacity and troop upkeep if you are outside of alliance territory. Be aware, the hospital capacity hero is best used in your hero council when you are under another player’s garrison and using their benefits, as this ultimately lowers your PvP statistics if you change from fighting heroes in your council.

Construction / Research

Construction and research heroes have various special skills ranging from speed, reductions of resources and reduction of royal badges in constructions of higher level buildings. These are a great way to reduce the cost and time for individual builds, therefore optimising your items, perfect for Construction/Research days in Kingdom Raid – Gold Event day(s) and Lucky Star tasks for Shop Event (otherwise known as Reducer, or 50% Event).

Storage Protection / Resource Production

Storage protection and resource production are similar to those of our gathering heroes. They will boost production for your farms/mines within your City, and further protect your open resources in storage, allowing less to be stolen if you were to be attacked by another player.

Monsters / Barbarian Rallies

Monster and Barbarian Heroes are not as popular in Lunar as Solar. Solar has a wider variety allowing you to gain richer rewards when using stamina. These are perfect heroes to use when attacking Monsters or starting/joining Barbarian Rallies with your alliance team. Be sure to unlock and use these in marches to gain these extra benefits. They do not have to be appointed in your Hero Council for you to benefit from these.

Combat Heroes

• Update 17.8.0 introduces Element Heroes to both Combat and Legendary Heroes in Lunar. 
• Update 18.4.0 introduced Combat Heroes to Solar.

Elements use a countering system: Fire counters Wind – Wind counters Earth – Earth counters Water – Water counters Fire.

Legendary / Special Skill Heroes

(*)With the Legendary/Special Skill comparison table above, you can see that the strongest inf/cav/bow type heroes will vary for Lunar and Solar and only the current strongest heroes of these categories have been listed. This is because Lunar are further ahead and therefore, receive new heroes prior to release in Solar. There are also some noticeable differences regarding Solar Infantry heroes. In Lunar, the paring is Yrsa and Orlando the Nightshard, but for Solar, as Orlando became a feature legendary hero at the beginning of the Kingdom, he has a different skill set as a Bowmen hero, leaving the release of Poppa to pair with Yrsa as a replacement, this is a ☀️ Solar only hero. Otherwise, you can notice there are some similarities with our Legendary heroes between the two realms. 

Hero Council

If you are not at the stage where you have unlocked these heroes, fear not, as there is an easier solution to this. Within your City, you can select the Hero Council building in front of your Stronghold, then select “Hero Bond”. Here you can check the variations of other heroes that will unlock these special bond skills for a further boost on your statistics. 

• For 🌙 Lunar: Royal Return, Sword and Shield, Rise of Glory, Monarch Strike, Champions of the Dragon and United Round Table. 
• In ☀️ Solar: Rise of Glory, Monarch Strike and Champion of the Dragon. 

If you appoint 2 heroes of the Covenants listed at the same time, you also activate Champions of the Dragon. 

Note: Only the highest level benefits will be activated. Heroes with the same Covenant will only activate the Covenant Benefit if all Covenant members are appointed. 

Fun Facts

In Lunar and Solar, these 2 heroes are given a revamp in graphic designs. Both of these heroes went from purple quality in Lunar, to Legendary status in Solar and an entirely new look to follow!

• Sir Balin in Lunar (Left) became Wineskin Knight in Solar (Right)

• Sir Baudwin in Lunar (Left) became Nora in Solar (Right)
