Dragonfire Relay Guide
What is Dragonfire Relay?
Dragonfire-relay or DFR /for short/ is a new mini-game introduced to KoA. It involves doing 25 chapters of events similar to frost and flame campaign. All without the cutscenes.
There are four screens for hero instead of 3. Why?
As the mini-event/game was introduced, it also brought in an additional hero slot that could be added to game modes similar to it. (Frost and flame campaign, sanctuary and Lord’s reign tower defence.)
There is a new resonance system. What is that?
This interface was as well introduced with the appearance of DragonFire-Relay.
Although it isn’t exactly new. Just like the way you select two heroes with the same buffs (freedom to freedom, warrior to warrior e.t.c) This resonance system now adds more buffs when 2-4 heroes of the same or similar types are chosen.
Why are the heroes big and the troops small
Big is great! You can see them more this way.
Resonance
Gallantry Resonance:
- 2 Heroes; Basic attack +25%
- 3 Heroes; Basic attack +33%
- 4 Heroes; Basic attack +40%
Glory Resonance:
- 2 Heroes; Damage received -6%, Critical Chance +10%
- 3 Heroes; Damage received -9%, Critical Chance +15%
- 4 Heroes; Damage received -12%, Critical Chance +20%
Freedom Resonance:
- 2 Heroes; Movement Speed +10%, Attack Speed +20%
- 3 Heroes; Movement Speed +13%, Attack Speed +20%
- 4 Heroes; Movement Speed +15%, Attack Speed +20%
Prosperity Resonance:
- 2 Heroes; Energy Restoration Speed +25%
- 3 Heroes; Energy Restoration Speed +33%
- 4 Heroes; Energy Restoration Speed +40%
Note, you can combine two heroes of each type for a unique buff. For example 2 Freedom + 2 Gallantry which gives 25% basic attack, 10% movement speed and 25% attack speed. Get creative.
Careful: This does not apply to troop marches.
My heroes are auto using skills why?
This feature was introduced when DFR / DragonFire-Relay was introduced. It reduces the work of having to only use one skill during battle.
With it automatically being used, you can focus on moving your heroes as well as using the second skill that you can manually direct or tap on giving easier control of the battle field.
You can turn auto off if you do not like it. It is located at the bottom left which is actually the auto button.
What are the Dragonefire-relay Banners for? I don’t understand how to use them
The pioneer pass (the banner) are items you can use to plunder a level in DFR. You get pioneer pass (the banner) by doing your usual daily quest and will be rewarded when you open the chests.
To Plunder/use this pioneer pass (the banner) in DFR, select a world that you have already completed the first time.
Once you do so, a new button should appear with the icon off the pioneer pass (the banner). [Plunder mode]. Click the button and select the number of times you want to go.
- 1 pioneer pass (the banner) = no DFR points required for that level
Therefore: 10 pioneer pass (the banner) can scale between each level of their respective dragon fire points required to do the level.
Example:
- On mission 5, 1 pioneer pass (the banner) = 10 Dragon fire points to start.
- Therefore: 10 pioneer pass (the banner) = 100 dragon fire points (the torch) to start
Points needed for each level
DragonFire-Relay (DFR) — Using pioneer points
- Level 1-5 (10 dragonfire points required)
- Level 5-10 (12 dragonfire points required)
- Level 11-15 (14 dragonfire points required)
- Level 16-20 (16 dragonfire points required)
- Level 21-25 (20 dragonfire point required)
Therefore: Each pioneer pass (the banner) used on a level will have its respective amount of dragonfire points (the torch) taken from that level. Keep that in mind.
