Can’t join your friend’s team for quests? Here’s what to do:

• Click “Steam” at the top left of your Steam window.
• Pick “Settings” from the menu.

• Click “Downloads” on the left side of the new window.
• Find “Download region” on this page.

• Change it to match your friend’s region.
• Steam will ask to restart. Let it.
• Try joining your friend’s team again.

If this doesn’t fix it, you might have a different problem.

Note: Some Japanese multiplayer games on Steam have a problem. They use Steam’s download regions to match players. This can stop you from playing with friends. If you can’t connect with a friend, check your download regions. Make sure they’re the same. This is usually the first thing to check for connection problems in these games.
