Quick Guide to Pure Archer Build

This build utilizes archer with archer mark. It may sound weird that we are not using another mark, but honestly this build may be just as strong as a build with norseman mark and its much easier to play, because you get less traits to choose from so you have a higher chance of rolling a trait you want and you get a 10% base crit chance from archer mark from very beginning. You should be able to get agony 4.9 in frozen depths with relative ease and with 1 or 2 green items agony 5 is reachable.

Main ability in this build is kugelblitz, which has a perfect synergy with archer because it scales extremely well with base crit chance thanks to “peak” trait (+100% crit chance). We need it to deal with enemies that block projectiles in later stages of this game and kugelblitz is one of the best abilities against them. There is a key nuance about kugelblitz that helps us reach high damage with it and its the upgrade “high voltage”, it causes our lightning ball to periodically cast chain lightning at enemies and this upgrade is what deals basically all the damage for this ability.

Normal kugleblitz deals only 30 dmg and has 33.5% crit dmg, but those chain lightnings have 100 base dmg and 100% crit dmg AND they target way more enemies with way more range. Fortunately any trait that would affect base kugelblitz also affect chain lightnings, so traits like + base dmg, +% attack speed and most importantly +100% crit chance are very important.

General idea for gameplay is to just start with kugelblitz and wait for scroll, pick it when we have 3rd tier of kugelblitz traits upgraded and pick up “high voltage” upgrade. In theory you could start with a little bit stronger early game ability like transfixion and hope for kugelblitz to appear in next scroll, but there is not 100% chance that it will work, so its better to just play it safe and start with kugelblitz, archer has very strong early game so her base attack should be enough by itself.

And as always build is on a screenshot, yellow traits are doubled. Of course we banish all the traits which we dont want, so those will be:

  • HP/s
  • HP
  • Defense
  • Block
  • Pick Up Range
  • Bulwark

And other abilities which are strong with this build and you may want to use are:

  • Transfixion – build it aroud crit dmg and not fragile, so pick multihit, crit chance/crit dmg, +base dmg.
  • Arcane rift – just pick all +% area traits.
  • Phantom needles.
