Hero Clash – Starting Tips and Tricks

Starting Tips for Noobs

Some good advice for players who have been playing for less than two months:

  • Focus on Garuda, he is OP early game.
  • Get as many Alvarez as possible.
  • Only use your faction scrolls with Humans.
  • When you get your first 120 faction points, trade for one Void Twins.
  • Jungle Blessing: Focus on upgrading Humans, starting with %Attack and %HP.
  • Light Hall: Level up Warriors and Assassins.
  • Find a good Union. 25k Union Coins are very important to grow/upgrade your Light Hall.
  • In week 3, you will have the Spiritsong Necklace event. This item is really good! Make sure to get it for free!*
  • During your very first Esper event, you can get 500 holy essence with the badges. This only appears once! Get it and upgrade your Spiritsong Necklace.
  • Items: Prioritize leveling up Energy Amulet. Give Icy Amulet to Alvarez.

Heroes to invest in/keep (beginners):

  • Fagon
  • Mafalda
  • Denise
  • Faerie
  • Avilia
  • Andal
  • Chakiss
  • Cthylla
  • Silsa
  • Roger
  • Nocturne

Note: If you get stuck on some level, try adding heroes with CC (Control). The heroes from the second row all have control!

*It is possible to buy the Spiritsong via the Hero Clash Club (only with real money).

Gameplay FAQ

How to set up your team?

Would you like to improve the position of your heroes on your team? Well, understanding that each hero can assume one specific purpose on your team can help you decide if this hero should be in the front lane or back row!

Sturdier (or tankier) heroes can hold the front row while high attack (but squishier) heroes can deal a lot of damage from the back row.

Anothe thing that can also hint you the best position is the hero’s category. There are 5 categories and each have particular characteristics.

Keep in mind that those are suggestions, which doesnt mean you cannot try to come up with your own strategies!

What to do when you get stuck on one specific level?

You most likely have already got stuck on some Adventure mode level (or proving ground), right? Our high elo players shared their experience with us giving some great tips.

Check this out:

  • Try adding Heroes to your roster that have CC (crowd control). Heroes like Chakoss, Cecina, Silsa, Roger and Cthylla can be very helpfull on those harder levels. Even if the CC does not work on the first time, try over and over until you get the perfect battle!
  • If you are facing an extreme strong hero like Natalie, you can use Nocturne to “try to neutralize” her. Nocturne’s cripple will lower the attack status and also prevent the hero from using a skill.
  • Try changing your heroes positions. Maybe a key hero is being killed too early and you can prevent this from happening by changing his position.
  • Rewatch your battle. Pay attention on which round are your heroes dying. If some hero dies way too early, try to increase your team armor and/or speed by using supporters like Fagon or Avillia.
  • Take the most out of faction advantage. For example: Onik’s (Nightfall) explosion can deal massive damage to Alvarez! (Humans)

If anything works, it may be the case you really need to level up your heroes, work on the gears, runes, talents and so on!

How to spend Diamonds wisely?

During the game your priorities change, which means maybe today you are really in need of rank up stones (for example), but later on you will have more than you need. Resouces priority will change but, having that said, we came up with a list with how we would suggest you to prioritize spending your diamonds. Whether you are a F2P player or a P2W, make good decisions!

How to lvl your light hall effectively?

Lvl everything to lvl 30 to get it to 200 then start working on Maxing out Warriors and Assassins once that’s done go and Max out Hunters and mages and then after that Max the rest out then repeat the cycle for the next page in the light hall.

Another tip for the second page of the light hall level everything to lvl 10-20 due to the second page being so expensive you’ll want to get everything to those levels then take a break from it for a month or so to save up Light hall cash then you’ll want to take everything up to lvl 30 then repeat the same process over again until it’s all maxed.

How to deal with Catherine?

Some tips to help you deal more damage to Catherine. Based on what I’ve observed, Catherine tends to counter-attack whenever she’s hit, so the more heroes you have, the more she strikes back.

Usually, teams have a tank, support, and damage dealer. But do we really need all of them? Using a full team might mean taking more damage. Through my experiments, I’ve found that a complete team isn’t the best strategy against Catherine.

Instead, try using just one damage dealer and one healer, along with some lower-level heroes to activate faction buffs. Why lower-level heroes? Well, they’ll go down faster, reducing the damage you take each turn while still getting those faction buffs.
