Make sure to save up boudiccas ability in wave 1 so you can use it at start of wave 2. If you have william tell you should level him up and then also do the same and use his ability at start of wave 2.
Also you might want to consider having a tank (heavy infantry) who soaks damage yourself, e.g. Otto. Ulysess could work too, if he survives first wave against green units.

My standard configuration is Edison, Tiger Lily, and Cyrus in the back, Bismarck and Leonidas in the front. I also tried swapping Bismarck for Lancelot and Cyrus for William Tell. WT is not fully leveled so that was my next thing to try, since he can almost one-shot the enemy healer.
Or maybe Jane Austen to make the enemy archer shoot the healer.

In this battle you don’t need a healer or tank. You need to go full aggro and defeat Spartacus before he can be healed. For that you need quick yellow single target damage dealers. Like Inanna, Kandake and Xueting.
You can do Otto still as tank I guess it will help to draw everyone together so they actually attack spartacus. Beethoven might help to defeat smaller minions as well as stun spartacus. all of them need to be on lvl 20 though.

Go Otto Louis front row, then Ashoka, will tell and tamoe at the back. Get will tell to 30, he will 1 shot their bosses. Swap Tamoe for Naya or tigerlily too for extra heal.

Try with Leonidas and Hatchepsout front and Bismarck, Qin Shi Huang & Ashoka in the back. Bismarck on the same side as Leonidas, in the corner. In that way he’ll taunt everyone around Leo and his spell will be more effective. I think Edison is better than Leo but you need to time his spell after the taunt of Bismarck.

Make sure to mindcontrol at the beginning from wave 2 and use hercules skill as soon as he casts the skill. You have to clear the minions before they do proper buffed dmg.

Boudica Asoka Beethoven as backline and Herman (my best tank) and Atilla in the frontline. Not using abilities in first wave is the trick.
