Campaign: Tier List for Beginners and F2P (3*)
By Wolfcry.
One of the main hurdles in the game is Campaign progression, as it is very easy to get stuck if you don’t have the right team. Now, keep in mind that this is my personal opinion contrasted with other friends and alliance members, so take it with a fist full of salt.
Reasons for placement in this tier list are:
- How well does this hero work in Campaign with the right Team composition
- How important are they for an adequate Team composition
- How relevant are they once you get 4* or 5* heroes in your roster
- How strong are they within their role in the team
Keep in mind that this Tier list is just for Campaign progression, and it diverts from Arena or Tesla progression.
Explanation on certain heroes and why I believe they belong there:
- S Tier: Undisputed, they will be in your roster for pretty much every single game mode. Paired up together, they will make your progression a walk in the park. Pair Otto’s taunt with some CC (Crowd Control) and AoE(Area of Effect) damage, and you will have great wave clear. Ashoka is great to keep him up between waves and with 8s charge, his heal remains one of the best in the game, even at 3*. Best investments.
- A Tier: Karl Marx will offer your frontline a lot of survivability and give Ashoka time to recharge his heal. Pitagoras is arguably the best AoE at 3 stars and Blue nature means he’s only weak to Green hitters. Hermann is probably the second best tank, although nowhere as good as Otto. William Tell is great for stages with Heroes, but not for regular wave stages, hence why he’s A instead of S.
- B Tier: Leonidas is good to take to 20, but I wouldn’t further than that. Good overall. Ulysses Grant is a good front line for early game and his self heal helps keeping him alive making Ashoka’s (or your healer’s) job easier. As for the AoE damage dealers, they can go in any order as they all perform similarly, mentioning I wouldn’t use Marco Polo without a “Taunter” like Otto.
- C Tier: These heroes are not necessarily bad, but their are not as good as the above.
- D Tier: Single target damage without prioritizing heroes means their abilities are useless in big waves, and they have no survivability to shine. That said, they are good for Tesla stages.
