General Strategies

Garrison Disciple

Get this upgrade early. At level 2, they can defeat mid-game groups alone. At level 3, they can beat late-game groups. They’re very strong. If you keep supplying them or get the Guard Recovery Upgrade, you can stay safe for a long time.

Out for Experience is better than Meditation

The Out for Experience event gives more Meditation Points than the Meditation Action. It often leads to fights with wild animals. Beating these animals gives you experience books and Meditation Boxes. This means you get more Meditation Points from Out for Experience. Different ranks give different amounts of points and face different enemies. Rank B is often easier than Rank C because of the enemy types. If you’re having trouble in battles, try hiding to make the animals attack one at a time.

Comprehension

Use Comprehension when you can. Combined skills start ready to use and are stronger. They also give more HP and MP. Save your game before using Comprehension and check that the new skill has all the effects you want. Characters can combine any two skills they can use. All characters can combine internal skills. Combined skills are always stronger than the original ones.

Early Game

At the start, you get 3 items. Put them on your helper. You have 3 months before Blue Wind Camp attacks you.

1st Turn:

  • Send your main character to attack Mang Mountain South.
  • Buy Basic Resource 1.
  • Send your helper to do the Out for Experience event.
  • Try to get 300 Meditation Points before Blue Wind Camp attacks.
  • Use the Meditation Boxes you get.
  • Get Enhance Garrison Disciple 1 and Healing Effect Enhanced 1 if you can.

2nd Turn:

  • Use all EXP scrolls on your main character.
  • Move the special gear from your helper to your main character.
  • Make your helper an Inner Disciple.
  • Heal both characters.

3rd Turn:

  • Have your main character learn their first skill.
  • Your helper can do the same or heal if needed.

4th Turn:

  • Send both characters to the new event.
  • Let your main character fight if possible.

5th Turn:

  • Keep doing Out for Experience until both characters reach level 7 or 8.
  • When you beat Blue Wind Camp, spare Kong Yidao and recruit him later.
  • Your next target is the Herbology Sect.
  • After that, you can choose to follow Duke Kang or become a Vagabond.

Remember to save your game often and take your time after getting Garrison Disciples.
