Home, Planet & Hunters – Beginners Guide

So this guide I will try and make it as simplistic as possible, whilst giving early game knowledge.

Guide for New Players

By Umai

Chapter 1

  • You will have Wayne as your Tank.
  • Dani as your Healer/Support.
  • No.2 as your Damage, so level and upgrade them as you go along.

Don’t worry about leveling Wayne up too much because once you reach Chapter 2, a character called Garr will take Wayne’s place as TANK for that chapter since its mandatory just for this chapter.

Keep Wayne in your support slot so that if Garr dies he can be switched out if you drag Wayne from support onto Garr’s body…but after chapter 2 focus on Wayne more again since he has much better survivability.

Affection

Do not ignore leveling up your traits

  • COU
  • CHA
  • RES
  • WIS

Costs 2 AP per +5 to trait in the training area, every few times you increase them, you will get an Emergency Mission come up to repeat a stage you have already done before (REWARD = 2AP & Onyx chest that has 700 onyx within).

  • Check guild headquarters frequently to be questioned by Bryan for rewards, it will be as frequent as Emergency mission popping up.

As soon as it’s available to do so level up Meowchants affection which I believe is at AFFECTION 2 you unlock his shop and the earlier you do that the better for you long term.

Shop resets every 4 hours so check every reset if you can.

What’s in his shop are the following all by random chance

  • Free +5 affection of a specific character
  • Free onyx (small amount)
  • Free gold (small amount)
  • weapon or armour (becomes more costly of onyx the further you are in the story)
  • Affection ticket (450 onyx)
  • Affection ticket (9 gold)

I highly recommend getting those AFFECTION tickets as much as you can help it, the faster you build your affection up the more it helps you in the long run.

Affection ticket once the chest unlock it will get you to select between a few characters on who to give +10 affection too.

Another way to gain affection is in the commercial district to give a character +10 it will cost 2AP, it will randomize between 3 people everytime you use 2AP in there or through trait training.

Keys & Chests

Do NOT use X1 key at a time.. if you want do a pull, always only do X5 pull…

Try and hold off pulling for a while, since progressing through the story you can upgrade Hunter Association Level which improves the gear * quality you will receive from using said keys, only do a X5 pull if it is absolutely necessary.

  • Do atleast ONE X5 pull per urgent mission character chest
    • Urgent Mission you will unlock shortly after beating 2-12
  • Do not feel forced to do lots of X5 pulls on an urgent chest, only if think it’s logical and worth it to do multiple pulls
  • You get one FREE Super key chest everyday.
  • You get one FREE urgent chest everyday.

Farming

1-3 BOSS will become your best friend for a while.

Rewards obtained per run

  • 37 – 55 ONYX
  • Small chance of 0, 1, 2 or 3 GOLD
  • X1 grey gear piece worth 10 ONYX

The fight can take roughly around a minute or so depending when you start the grind of it.. you can eventually weave the fight time down to an average of 6 SECONDS.. so it becomes very quick and efficient.

If you want a steady supply of GOLD, at the RING the tab RECHARGE

  • Gives you 3 – 7 gold per ad.
  • It is available to watch again every 3/4 minutes.

So you can do this in-between boss farming or whatever your doing ingame.

If it’s blanc after said time has passed do one quick boss fight and it’ll highlight again to be watchable.

No.2 Pass

Is it worth it?

Absolutely!

Does it make a difference?

Yes!

Is it definitely needed?

It is not mandatory to have, so it depends on if you want it or not.

The purchased rewards for No.2 include…

  • 10 keys
  • 900 gold
  • 32,400 onyx (I think)
  • Full set for No.2
  • 60 AP
    • Energy points used for affection/trait training
  • x4 (3) purple Gear ticket
  • x3 (3) purple Trinket ticket

1800 minutes for the speed up on chests.

  • x2 (3) enhance material x3 (4) enhance material.
  • x1 (3) spare part x5 (4) spare part.
