Campaign’ Hero Tier Lists

S-Tier
Garr – S Tier with Hell Hound weapon only. Drone>2x Hellhound damage can’t be replaced but needs at least 3 or more bulky enemies on screen. Water mark keeps team/summons alive and provides shield for team. First skill for movement mainly, Crit skill for healing/shield, taunt for stalling. Hellhound’s cooldown was recently nerfed, but still the best burst in game. Only A-Tier without Hell Hound.
Bryan – Slow but Highest attack Stat that is ideal for burst skill damage. Has a self buff that grants 50% attack power on top that and has an interrupt skill. Access to Ranged attacks with Lightning marks on default attacks! Has an Interrupt! First skill, comboed with Dani’s “Enhance Capsule” and 2X = great Damage. With Global, it’s OP with lots of enemies. You want Thunder Fist for the extra burst. You need to unleash all skills to get similar damage to Hell Hound. Bryan is clearly better when fighting only 1-3 enemies.
Dani – Best “Healer” in the game. Also able to buff heroes. Her bounce heal attack is very powerful especially when you pair it with “Stim” and “Enhanced Heal.” Double cast>Enhanced Capsule is great for Burst damage. Capsule grants 30% attack boost and adds electric/fire or poison/water Marks depending on weapon type. It’s great for multi-hit weapon actives. Revive gun’s cooldown is too high for me to recommend.
Wayne – Unique Fan default attack that pairs well with Life Steal and access to lightning mark on crit, makes him a AoE killing machine. Great sustained AoE damage and a great tank with own his own shield and can push/taunt enemies. Force field weapon and Armor Break Ring. For Campaign non boss battles, WPNNEXT ring on Wayne is recommended.
Scar – Not a great hero in the battlefield, but his ability to Start in battle, unload skills and then swap out is better than nothing, you can also swap him back in for free skills. His swap skill can counter enemy swaps as well. Ideal for carrying a support ring like ELECONT.
A Tier
Number 2 – A glass cannon, good attack but low HP and defense. He does the most single DPS with his machine gun but leaves himself immobile/vulnerable. Very risky to use in boss battles past the midway point if boss has special targeting/AoE attacks(Heidi). Get the Desert Rifle – POISON-It does AoE Poison/Electric(5* only) marks which allows himself and just Dani’s combos to wipe out HARD groups without issue and better than just Dani/Bryan.
However, it is only marginally better as Dani/Bryan would have eliminated most of the threat where as Dani/#2 would wipe out all the enemies especially if there are more than 4. However, once you add in MeowCat’s global, it heavily favors Bryan. Bryan replaces # 2 for bosses with few adds, where as No. 2 burst a bit harder when there are 4 or more enemies.
Rich – More of a Summoner/Healer. Turtles paired with double Cast and shields can stall longer than Wayne alone. His “Global” skill is what makes him shine though. I usually swap out, use all skills, stall and swap again. I’ve used him to cleared 4-3 and maybe a few other single DPS boss maps, but Dani DPS enhance is more valuable and Wayne’s DPS is better. Probably closer to S Tier if you like micromanaging Turtles!
B Tier
Heidi – AoE/Tank and she primarily use water mark. Not a bad tank, but Wayne has better taunt skills, access to fan attack, is more durable, better AoE with lightning mark and just consistently better. Her basic refresh skill is powerful but basic skills are only okay by themselves. Most importantly, Wayne can change enemy locations, has shield skill vs relying on inconsistent water mark. Expect a bit more micro-ing because she needs enemies on one side to be as effective as Wayne’s fan atk.
