Quick Guide to Lunar Event

TLDR: Fastest Strategies

• Change campaign to Lunar, travel to event location on the map.
• You level up Lunar Mastery by doing idle skill.
• You gain event items from dungeons or skill from the event location. You convert those items into campaign points. If you look at the campaign you will see a bunch of items/tokens/skins/pet to redeem. The pet is the final thing to redeem. That pet is worth like 750k gold if you wanted to buy a pet with those stats.

Lunar Event Location

In order to get to Moonlit Valley which is event location you have to switch campaign by going to:

• Mobile: menu -> campaign -> switch button in top right -> Moonlit Festival
• PC: Campaign (on the sidebar) -> Switch Campaign (in top right) -> Moonlit Festival

Then you’ll be able to travel to event location by:

• Mobile: Menu -> Map -> Moonlit Valley (near Celestial Observatory) -> TP (it’s free)
• PC: Map (on top of the screen) -> Moonlit Valley (near Celestial Observatory) -> TP (it’s free)

Campaign Points

Campaign main focus is to gather event points and exchange them for rewards in Campaign tab. Currently there are 17 rewards to obtain and the last one is very decent pet which is worth the time you’ll spend there.

Points can be exchanged by going to:

• Mobile: Menu -> Campaign -> Exchange Items
• PC: Campaign -> Exchange Items

Campaign points can be obtained via daily tasks or exchanging event items obtained from monsters, idling, world boss or dungeon.

Ratio (amount to points) and their source:

• Ancient Parchment – 10:1 – mob Gnarur (15 lvl)
• Celestial Scroll – 1:1 – idle, lv. 65
• Ethereal Gem – 10:1 – mob Hazel (30 lvl)
• Lunar Stone – 10:1 – mob Ragruth (65 lvl)
• Moonlight Essence – 6:1 – idle, lv. 30
• Moonlit Chalice – 13:1 – idle, lv. 9
• Lunar Ticket – 1:1 – boss Noctarok (10 lvl) + Silverleaf Enclave dungeon (25 lvl)

Important: Lunar tickets are dropped in stacks of 10 so for every dungeon run or world boss killed you’ll obtain 10 of those. Event idle level 9 and 30 requires previous item to be created so if you want to use idle level 9 you have to have item from idle 1 and same goes for lvl 30 -> item from idle level 9.

Idle Strategy

One of the main strategies is to idle event skill. In order to obtain all required materials just by idling you’ll have to spend:

• Membership: ~171h
• Free account: ~181h

What does that much time comes from? Let’s break it down (membership values will be in parentheses):

• Campaign in total requires 4345 points
• The best item to exchange from just idling is Moonlight Essence that’s 6:1 in points
• In order to generate enough amount of Moonlight Essence we have to have 26070 of Chalices which are 1:1 to Starlight Gems
• Starlight Gem takes 10s (9.1s), Moonlit Chalice takes 6s (5.5s), Moonlight Essence takes 10s (9.1s), this gives us below equation

Membership:

4345 * 6 * (9.1 + 5.5 + 9.1) = 617859s / 60s = 10297.65m / 60m = 171.6h

Free Account:

4345 * 6 * (10 + 6 + 10) = 677820s / 60s = 11297m / 60m = 188.3h

Important: Idle items cannot be traded. Celestial Scroll is not taken into account is as requires combat to obtain and every item in the combat has 25% drop chance (although creature products required are tradable).

Dungeons Strategy

Another method of farming campaign points is running CL 25 dungeon called Silverleaf Enclave. It costs 960gp to run and takes 25 minutes to finish. Each dungeon should yield 10x Lunar Ticket as special item is very low % drop chance and rest of percentage are tickets.

Some math about required tickets and amount of gold and runs:

• Campaign in total requires 4345 points
• Each Lunar Ticket can be exchanged for 1 point (1:1 ratio)
• If we’re getting 10x tickets from dungeon we have to run 4345 / 10 = 434.5 ~= 435 dungeons.
• Running 435 dungeons will cost us 960gp * 435 = 417,600gp

Important: You can run dungeons on all 3 characters simultaneously and trade all tickets to single character. You can also buy tickets from the market or wait for people to fill your Purchase Order. Times and money distribution per character shown in graphic below.

Additional Informations

Campaign offers daily tasks. Each task grants you 10 event points and you can finish them to slightly boost your progress. Be aware though about time that task will consume.

Time required to generate 10 points:

• Membership Idling: 10 * 6 * (9.1 + 5.5 + 9.1) = 1422s / 60s = 23.7 minutes
• Free Account Idling: 10 * 6 * (10 + 6 + 10) = 1560s / 60s = 26 minutes
• Dungeons: 10x Lunar tickets = 25 minutes

So you have to estimate how long it will take to finish certain task and if it’s worth to do it timewise.

Tickets are also good source of income if sold for decent price, but it’s up to a player to track and determine the price that he’d like to sell those.

Pet is worth the time you’ll have to spend on idling or dungeoning, at least for new players. Based on base stats it can be the same as snowrunner or somewhere in his range which means it’s better than most of the pets in game, placing itself at around 3-8th spot on list of bests pets among all 33 available pets.

Do keep in mind that this is just an estimation as we don’t know the growth rate of event pets and how much pet mastery is influencing each of the tiers / pets so we need to wait for more details once players who obtained Nyx already will level it up to the same level as other good pets.

Special Items

There are 2 special event items: Lunar Secrets and Moon Gem. They’re very rare drops from Noctarok or event dungeon:

• Moon Gem: <1% drop chance from Noctarok – grants additional 25% efficiency for Lunar Mastery skill
• Lunar Secrets: <1% drop chance from event dungeon – grants additional 20% experience for Lunary Mastery skill
