Definitive Guide to Combat

Claymore Basics

Basic Attack: Indomitable Edge

  • 4 hit combo
  • 1st & 2nd = 112+150% ATK
  • 3rd = 124+165% ATK (knocks upwards)
  • 4th = 135+180% ATK
  • Charged Attack = 337+449% ATK AoE DMG

Active Skill: Frangere Slash

  • Chargable Skill
  • Incomplete/Non-Charged = 410+547% ATK
  • Complete/Charged = 2-hit combo, 621+829% ATK

Passive Skill: Persistence

  • Less likely to be interrupted
  • 20.5% DMG reduction
  • after a Basic Attack or Dodge, “Precise Momentum” will activate
  • Tapping Basic Attack during “Precise Momentum” will give you 1 stack of “Gathering”
  • Gathering will increase DMG of next basic attack by 12.9% (Max 3 Stacks)
  • 3 stacks of Gathering will upgrade Active Skill to use Charged version immediately upon use, increasing DMG by 50%. All Gathering stacks will disappear after using skill

How to Play

Please check the YouTube video below, for a Visual Guidance of the basics of Claymore before going on. If you have already seen the video or have the basic knowledge down, the next few posts will be for users who still have questions.

  • BA=Basic Attack
  • CA=Charge Attack
  • AS=Active Skill
  • PM=Precise Momentum
  • SP=Skill Points

Stacks

Double checking the Passive, gathering stacks are important for one thing only. The 50% dmg boost for the upgraded AS. This can only be achieved by gathering 3 stacks. Anything lower will not have the 50% dmg boost applied!

2 stacks or less will not disappear, even after a charged AS

Precise Momentum/Calibrations

If you are having trouble getting PMs to appear after a dodge, it means more than likely you are holding the Directional Pad after dodging. Players must take their finger off the Directional Pad button in order for the game to register the PM script. Holding the Directional Pad will prioritize player’s movement over calibrations

Active Skill

You mainly want to use your Active Skill when you have Skill Points to spare. Ideally, have 3SP before breaking an enemy into Weakened State. This is important so that users can hit the enemy with 2 upgraded AS before the Weakened State duration is over. If you don’t have a SP available after breaking, I recommend to try going for a Charged AS (hold down AS button), then end with a 3 stack AS.

How to Switch Targets

  1. Have the enemy you want to switch target IN VIEW of your screen.
  2. To switch targets, you have to pause your attacks(short or long), aim directional pad toward the enemy you want to switch to, and hit the attack button to initiate the switch.
  3. Aiming screen view does not equal aiming with directional pad. You gotta use directional pad to aim towards the enemy and the enemy must be in view.
