Lunch Lady’s Behavior

Spawn Time

The lunch lady starts moving after a certain time on each difficulty mode:

Normal Mode: 42 seconds
Hard Mode: 17 seconds
Insane Mode: Instantly

On normal difficulty, you can use this time to get pages from farther hallways safely and find pages without the lady chasing you.

Screams

When the Lady screams, she chases a random player. There are two types of screams:

Page Induced Screams: These happen after you pick up a certain number of pages on each difficulty.

Normal Mode: After getting 7/10 pages
Hard Mode: After getting 4/10 pages
Insane Mode: After getting 2/10 pages

Each page you pick up makes the Lady faster and more aggressive.

Timer Induced Screams: These happen every 5 minutes in the game. The lady chases a random player.

Hiding or Running

Flashlight: The lady can spot you easily from far away when your flashlight is on. Using the flashlight near the lady is not recommended.

Running: The Lunch Lady can hear you sprint. If she is near you but hasn’t spotted you, she will run towards the sound and investigate the area. If you keep sprinting, she will keep running towards the sound and spot you.

On each difficulty, the lady chases you for a certain amount of time if you are hiding or running:

Normal Mode: 10-15 seconds
Hard Mode: 15-30 seconds
Insane Mode: She keeps chasing you forever

Hiding

On Normal difficulty, stealth isn’t very important since you can outrun the lady. On Hard and Insane difficulties, stealth is important because the lady can outrun and catch you.

When the lady spots you from far away or you pick up pages that cause screams, turn off your flashlight and crawl to a corner of the room. The lady will investigate the area, so move inside the room if you think you’ll be spotted.

Minor Tips During Gameplay

Start healing yourself as soon as the lady hits you.
Pause the game right before her screaming animation starts to avoid the sound.
Close doors behind you while running from the lady to slow her down.
On maps with gym and nets, crouch under the nets to distract the lady while others search the school.
Move left or right to avoid the lady’s throwing knife.
New players should avoid picking up notebooks after scream-induced pages if the lady is nearby.
You can see through most walls/doors by running towards them to save time.
Pages can only spawn in certain areas, regardless of difficulty.
Sometimes you can avoid her screaming animation by running into a corner if you’re about to be caught.
