Megaloot – Meta Builds Guide

These character builds are created to be effective up to floor 60 in the game.

Guide to Few Meta Builds

Due to changes making Dazzle weaker and Kotya stronger, it’s likely best to begin with leather or scout equipment in the early stages of the game. For your character build, you should focus on either increasing your life points using Flesh and/or Magma, or improving your armor with Turtle Gauntlet. When visiting the black market, look for high-quality weapons that provide good damage or armor, whichever has the highest stats you can find.

The transition into ethercrest or orion prbly (depending on character/runes you can stick with scout for a good while).

• Good black market items are: your old weapon as you prbly switch to a swift dagger, some hunter items, if you get like a rare body to get precision to 100, some of the rings that might be nice for you rn to get some flat health.

Then go into Silver if that works for you, otherwise aim for flesh set to start life stacking.

You then want to progress to your mid game sets, so usually that’d be something like flesh as mentioned before or demonic on Tyr you can maybe go turtle if you can.

• Floor 8 unlocks Giant’s ring, great for life stack, best %health in the game, vamp body is alright too if you find a good one, but I rarely buy them anymore & rather focus on the best items.
• On Floor 9 and 12 you unlock dazzle ring and amulet respectively, great for black market or wear it if you use merc, sid or Riel.
• Floor 11 unlock the cataclysm mask and faith locket (best power/faith black market)
• Floor 15 then unlock Magma set (great if you are life stacking and/or playing Riel) as well as Bloodedge – an amazing sword (to Black market).
• Floor 15 also unlock the Turtle Gauntlet, prbly the single handedly most broken weapon atm.
• Floor 25 unlocks Rod of Doom, great for magic builds, but usually overshadowed by other weapons and just black market scrapped.
• Floor 30 unlocks the Throngler which has massive flat phys, crit and health (pick up at least a common asap if that’s something your build needs; best source of flat health too, crit is same as scythe).
• Floor 30 unlocks the new ring. fantastic for wisdom and especially faith.
• Floor 60 will give you one last gift in form of unlocking Excalibur.
• Hunter usually is not needed before stepping into floors 100+.

If you can wear Leather gear for max merc set, then do so as long as possible/feasible.

Those would be some of the builds I’d go for rn (left = gear + swaps, right row = black market items; I ignore Floor 15+ items in this list):

Electro / Cinder

Unchained set is nice, but weapon sucks; you can use any of the 3 boots, swift better early, merc better past floor 16 or electro boots + unchained; you may also opt in to use demonic ring when using electro.

Generic Armor Stack

Honestly there are quite a bunch of options; you can go dazzle, you can stay leather for merc attacks, etc. getting flat armor is hard though without dazzle, but it’s up to you here as I cannot cover like 10+ build variations.

Viran “Immortal God” Guild

Has 10 turns of dmg immunity, bunch of possible setups here tbh, this is more like a mid game version with silver/royal. You can either disassemble or equip dazzle or do whatever.

I don’t like this, but dodge can be good. It’s a rough draft only as I dislike the current situation for dodge, scout set and shadow set, especially bc this set would love to use hunter, but can’t due to flat energy only coming from scout set bonus.
