How to Beat Prelude on Any Character

How to win Prelude with most characters:

Pick a Character Who Can Use Weapons:

• Choose these stats: evade, Heart, total attack, Physical Attack.
• Choose Keystone: SWARM.

Get a weapon (Hammer is Best):

• Fight enemies, focus on magic users first.
• Only use armor you find, don’t buy or upgrade it.
• Exception: upgrade hammer if possible.

Black Market:

• Get lightning, toxic, crit, health, penetration.
• Focus on Golden items throughout the game.

Next:

• Get all Golden gear (Dagger or Sword are good).
• Get at least 1 Demonic item (Helmet or Boots work well).
• In fights, target thieves and magic users first.
• For Extra Set: choose Swift of Hunter.

When You Have a Demonic Item:

• If an enemy can counter-attack, remove the Demonic item for that fight.
• Replace it with a Golden item to avoid dying.
• If it’s not the first attack, just don’t attack that enemy when they’re ready to counter.

Keep improving Golden gear! You can switch to better Golden armor when available in the shop, but it’s not necessary.

This should help you win quickly.
