Metal Slug: Awakening – Trevor Guide (Guns, Accessories and Cores)

Guide to Trevor

By Xpectation

Trevor triggered ‘enhanced weapon’-state whenever he uses a skill. He is an all in close range character who does big bursts of damage. It’s best to run him with a shotgun.

Weapons (Wound/Ignite Debuff)

Howler (Combo Shotgun):

  • The best gun for Trevor. He needs this to all in an enemy.

Peace Slammer (Boxing Gun):

  • Works also if you don’t have a good shotgun, but still less good than Howler.

Accessory

Assault Front:

  • “Trevor’s Slashing Kick inflicts 1 extra stack of mark upon hit. Triggers once every 10 sec.”
  • -> Use on both guns.

Cores

Cores based on preference:

  • 2x Dragon Nosuke Core:
    • “PEN +12%.”
  • 2x Silence Core:
    • “Crit DMG +24%.”
  • 2x Six-Armed Machine Core:
    • “When triggering ‘enhanced weapon’, the character gains 20% close-range DMG bonus for 8 sec.”
  • 4x Sea Satan Core:
    • “Increase CRIT Rate by 12% & After using a skill, increase the character’s next shot DMG by 120%.”
  • The 2x set depends on your substats.
  • If your PEN is too low go Dragon Nosuke Core.
  • If your Crit DMG is too low go Silence Core.
  • If your Close-Range DMG bonus is low, go Six-Armed Machine Core.

My preference goes to Dragon Nosuke or Silence cores since those 2 don’t rely on ‘enhanced weapon’ to proc.

Best Core Sub Stats

  • Left cores: ATK
  • UP cores: HP
  • Right cores: ATK

In order of importance:

  • PEN: 50%+
  • Crit Rate: 50%+
  • Short-Range DMG Bonus: 60%+
  • Crit DMG: 60%+
  • Debuff DMG Bonus: 30%+
  • ACC: 30%+
