The Ultimate Guide for Starring
By Drac’s Rod Holder.
Note that you always star up with seals before ranking the soulment up.
First are the non-core soulments. You can buy 3* bases of these with 20 luck (25% chance of starring up per rank up) from the weekly gem mall. You can also get the 2* base from the soulment weekly event shop as well.
Starting with the 2* non-core bases, it is the best and most effective way to use these first to get a 6* non-core soulment. The method is simple: you get 14 seals from reforging other soulments of the same class, then you use them to star up that 2* base into a 4*. After that, you go on and start ranking it up. If you get to rank 12 with not a single star up, there’s no need to continue, and you should reforge that soulment once you are ready to try again.
Next are the 3* non-core bases. This is the second-best way to get a non-core soulment into a 6*. The reason for it not being the best way is its high cost compared to its chances. I would advise not buying any 3* non-core soulments and keep trying on 2* bases if you are chilling and not in a hurry. The method is the same, but instead of 14 seals, you only need 12 seals to get it to 4* since it’s already a 3* base. Then you start ranking it up, and if you reach rank 12 with not a single star up, stop ranking it up and consider retrying once you are ready to do so.
Lastly, for maximum efficiency, try to star up then rank up all the 1* bases you plan to reforge before actually reforging them. You might hit the slim chance of getting a 6* out of a 1* base and save a whole attempt for another soulment that way.
Now for the core soulment bases, you can buy a 3* as well as a 1* core soulment chest at the soulment weekly gem mall. You can also buy one 1* core base chest at the soulment weekly event shop.
First is the 3* core soulment base. It is the best way to get a 6* core soulment. Unfortunately, it is very, very hard to get a core seal since (personal experience, nothing confirmed) core soulments’ drop rate is close to 0% most of the time. So the best way is to just buy the 3* core soulment chest then start ranking it up right away, hoping for the best. If you get to rank 11 with not a single star up, stop ranking it up and consider reforging that core soulment once you are ready to retry again.
The second-best way (almost as good as the first way) to get a 6* core soulment is by buying the 1* core soulment base chest, then starring it up to 2* with one core seal. Then buy and apply the circle of destiny luck gem on it. After that, you either 3* the book with two more core seals if available; otherwise, just start ranking up and hope for the best. Although I don’t recommend ranking it up without getting the core soulment to 3* via seals first.
One last way that can be kind of like a last resort for people who are trying to rush it or have enough resources to do so is to always buy the circle of destiny luck gem that gives +11 luck to soulments and use it on 1* bases. Note that once you fail this method, you can’t get the circle of destiny gem back when reforging the bricked soulment!
Useful Tips:
- In case you got the 3* core base with zero luck from the infinity dungeon ranks, slapping the Circle of Destiny luck gem on it is totally worth it.
- Never buy the +9 luck gem (forgot its name); it’s not worth it.
- Make sure you have enough orange soulments to use as rank-up materials. Otherwise, you might miss the rest of the soulment gem mall, not knowing if your attempt succeeded or not, then having to wait for a month or so for the next soulment shop. So either buy all the red soulment bases you plan on using first hand, or have enough orange soulments to rank up to rank 13 the soulments you want to 6*.
- The best and fastest way to get enough seals to 4* your soulments is to do max soulment boss fights/chase camps attempts for one class at a time. Don’t try to grind for more than one class at a time.
- For a full 6* set, always focus on one monster at a time.
