Rune System Explained
The rune system looks like this:
The place is same as before but they changed the requirements on the rune core.
As beginner once we’re suffer on gathering same core colour to activate the rune’s effect but now the era has change. You can wear any core rune’s that different to the colour but you will lose the rune’s multiplier.
For core rune’s multiplier:
- 1pc = 50%
- 2pcs = 100%
- 3pcs = 150%
- 4pcs = 200%
- 5pcs = 300%
- 6pcs = 400%
For the aux rune page, you will see the top has the total of the aux runes.
The formula is:
- (Your current element × 1)+(element × 0.25)+ (element × 0.25)
The aux runes also have the multiplier (as shown on the top right corner, purple text).
Max multiplier is 900% when your aux rune’s slot are fully same as your current element.
Before the updates, you have to decide the aux runes you need and craft it.
Now, you can change and adjust the aux rune level anytime you want. As long as you have enough of the aux rune’s to level it up.
The goal is to have all your core rune and aux rune slots the same color to obtain the bonuses shown. In the picture, I only have 5 core rune slots of the same color and only 17 aux rune slots which is why the bonuses I have is only 300% for core rune and 800% for aux rune.
However, if you manage to get them the same color and full slots (6/6 + 18/18), it will show as 400% and 900%.
Rune Slots
- Blue: Elemental Atk
- Pink: Crit dmg or Defense ignore (pick according to what you need)
- Yellow: Atk
- Green: Anything
- Yellow: Crit dmg or Ele atk
- Green: Boss dmg or atk (only use atk for content without boss)
- Red: Energy Rune
In relation to activating your aux rune slots.
It should be obvious but your aux rune slots correspond to the rune slots on your gear, activating an aux rune slot requires the corresponding rune slot on a gear piece to be the same element.
Some minor detail to maximize damage output
- Green Slot
Top one you can change to def if you feels like you die alot, this’ll reduce the dmg u take significantly. (Shielding and HP depends on build)
Bottom one take the element of the enemy you are facing, this’ll also reduce the damage you are taking significantly.
- Blue Slot
Left one you can swap to Cmod if you are lacking that (very useful early on)
Right one you can swap to DI if you are lacking that stat (again, very useful even all the way to when you are in endgame, certain content requires ridiculous amount of DI)
- Yellow slot
You can swap it for Vs Shield if you are lacking it when facing content with enemy that has very thick shield (example being tower). On content with shield, Atk is only very good if you already have too much Vs Shield (around 60% is enough) for mobs, bosses need way more (i.e. By using abyssia claw).
Aux rune approx value (Lvl 8 and 9)
- Cdmg:di:atk:eleatk
- 1:14.2:10.1:5 (decimal rounded up)
- Atk=~2ele atk (getting atk thru here sucks, hence why only boots take either atk or vs shield)
So prior imo is
- Ele atk (best value)>Cdmg>>Atk
- Di take as much as your req need.
- Di value is equal to Cdmg (Arguably DI is abit better by some decimal but it’s too small to count).
