How to Play
By Yonatan.
First of all, make sure you set the drone to follow crosshair and target closest to drone. Еhis is critical! You will see why soon.
You need the 47K gold gun for this.
Get as much bullet count as possible. Tip: make sure you are in a high difficulty zone for the first snake boss so he drops 100% bullet count.
From drops, aim for a lot of bullet count, bullet speed, mag size, and the under-barrel reload speed. (You don’t need any damage/crit/pickup range, assuming of course your drone can carry you).
First, get the T3 Magnigrip thing.
(You don’t need to stop shooting; IGNORE all of those who tell you to).
Then go for T2 bubble thing.
(By this point, your drone should be at a level where it can solo carry you).
After you get T2 bubble, here’s the tricky part:
- What you want to do is turn off auto-aim and auto-shoot, then make sure you move your drone to a spot where it doesn’t kill all the enemies, because you need each shot to hit as many enemies as possible.
- So you basically need to juggle between having the drone help you kill, then moving it so there are many enemies, then shoot all your bullets! (It’s okay to reload, do not worry!)
- The more you do this, the higher and higher your resources percentage will go up, and when you want to magnet all of it, just stop shooting yourself and let the drone cover you (you leave under-barrel auto-shoot ON ALWAYS), and that will suck up all the stuff pretty quickly.
Charm Recommendation
- Chevron has best mid-late game scaling, but it takes a while to get going. When you first take it, it doesn’t give you any ‘oomph’ you might need right then. Meaning the damage difference will need to either be provided by a decent drone that has survived multiple mini-bosses or you gotta be really good at not getting hit when swarmed. If someone is mega struggling, chevron might be the least useful pick.
- Ducky is the safest pick. Always useful, whether it’s tier1 or tier2. Instant dps boost for both you and drone and when the drone takes it it boosts drone and you again and at tier2 you even get move speed, which might be just enough to have an easier time dodging stuff.
- Eye is surprisingly decent if you rush tier2 eye, like if it’s one of the later slots you fill so you know that tier2 will come up soon. With both tiers you get a total of +35% crit chance and +25% crit bonus (with more bonus if your drone has any extra crit bonus) plus zooming out makes it easier to see and prepare to dodge rings of flying snakes or charging enemies, etc.
- Heart is harder to recommend for a brand new player because although it gives you a bunch more xp, that xp doesn’t help your damage at all unless you pick it all up and level up fast.
Tips for Resource Farming
You can get a bit by just picking stuff that includes resource/credit drop rate. Tunings for penetrations, mag size, and special power have resource drop rate attached to them, and XP gain rate plus the Fame and Fortune mini-boss trophy (the one that gives crit chance) and both of GangGang’s trophies add to credit drop rate. Running a build that synergizes with these stats will naturally lead to a bit more resources. And there’s also a part here and there with +10% resource drop rates. It’s worth noting that resource and credit drop rates are counted from both you and your drone.
But those are the normal things and you’re already getting them, and you want broken levels of stuff!
If you came here for the big guns (yes, pun intended) here’s what you’ll want:
- This guy is for resource drop rate. Quick summary is: make a build that gets tons of ‘hits’ without very many shots. You can get up to drop chance numbers that will result in dozens of boss drops from a single final boss, plus hundreds or even thousands of everything else. Shotgun (or plasma spiraler) +helix+splitter mag+fast firing underbarrel + as much bullet count, sawblades, penetrations, tesla bolts, etc as you wanna add. When you’re ready, take tech module and upgrade it to tier2. Turn off autoaim and fire and make your shots count to get as many hits as possible.
- This one is for collection range. The tier1 sucker grip gives collection range for missing health and the tier2 gives it for vision range, but the really kicker is this tier3 fella. I don’t want to spoil too much, but it is possible to infinitely stack this. Here’s the key if you don’t wanna figure it out yourself: after a big wave of enemies where you got a ton of kills, stop firing entirely and use only your underbarrel to get more kills while never reloading again. MVP is the tier4 energy blaster underbarrel that shoots three pulses at once.
- Honorable mention for collection range. This one can be really fun. It sucks about a regular screen’s worth whenever you get to the 10th hp healed. Less broken than cobalt magnigrip, but enjoyable way to grab your resources/credits/xp:
- Another option for resources – I haven’t seen crazy screenshots with this one, but the potential is there. The grand shatter magazine tier4 can drop any resources, including the boss resources. Any build with a ton of coverage and ability to quickly freeze and then hit again on many targets will end up with a bunch of extra resources.
- As for credits, here is the mvp augment for credit farming: Tier1 ammo rack, available to everyone from the start of the game – chance of 5-credits rolled every time you reload, which if you think about it, there is a lot of reloading going on. Avoid mag size upgrades and actively lower your mag size if you can to roll the dice even more frequently and scoop up more credits. Build is: Pistol is excellent, but shotgun/rpg/optical carbine/hydra missile swarmer all work so pick your preference. Ammo rack asap and grenade launcher up to tier2. Filed-Off Magazines and/or GangGang’s Golden Gat to get your mag down to 1, all the while working your ammo rack up to that infinite ammo belt tier4
This low mag build has amazing synergy with a couple of ‘last bullet in the mag’ upgrades as well as grenades which recharge on reload. The damage potential here is very high.
- Honorable mentions for credits: The lightweight grip line top tree has these two. Their bonuses have a maximum, but the amounts are still respectable, especially given that “Credit Bonus” gives you more per coin, stacking multiplicatively with Credit Drop Chance.
- Last honorable mention for credits. Sniper barrel line has collection range multiplier on the top line and the bottom line has a chance of credits on killing with a crit. Getting to 100% crit chance is relatively easy, especially since the tier2 has +32% crit chance, but the amount of credits dropped from this is only relatively modest compared to the ammo rack strategy.
