Lot of new players might feel confused by all the various icons and options. Here’s an introduction to each major area to help you understand where to start and what beginners must do.
Beginners Walkthrough

Campaign – Main Quests
Mission
Beginners should focus on progressing through the main storyline. At the start, the game will guide you through a few tutorial chapters to teach you the basics about the game. After the tutorial, you will be in the city, which is the game’s main interface. In here, many areas will be locked. You’ll need to progress through the main storyline to unlock new zones.
Bounties (in the top left corner of mission screen)
Use 2000 points to dispatch a mission. It’s recommended to prioritize missions that offer diamonds or legendary character shards. You can obtain dispatch points through idle rewards.
On the main interface, you’ll see:
Valkyrie Manor, Guild, Relic Vault, Merchant Guild, Oracle Temple, Hall of Hero, Synergy Archive, and Rankings.
Valkyrie Manor
This is the valkyrie’s home. It’s recommended to buy gifts from the shop (use gold coins instead of diamonds) to upgrade the bond level with Valkyries. Giving them their favorite gifts or touching their preferred areas will gain the maximum point to level up the bond level, which will level up the Manor. When the Manor levels up, it will boost team stats.
Guild
Joining a guild is essential. Guild has a Sage Book that enhances team stats. Upgrading “Trailblazer’s Legacy ” first (don’t max it out), then upgrade each Valkyrie to level (up to 220). Max out the middle and left paths before considering other upgrades.
Relic Vault
This is the area to draw legendary relics. It’s recommended to only pull when you can do a minimum of 100 summons to get 30 legendary relic shards as rewards.
Merchant Guild (shop)
A place to purchase various resources. Avoid spending diamonds here recklessly. It’s recommended to buy items that are discounted 70% off or more. Be sure to check the Redeem point section regularly, especially for Divine/demon characters in the Oracle Shop (select based on character tier list).
Oracle Temple
Only pickup the right side banner (the red one) for Divine/Demon characters. It’s best to summon at multiples of 15 (like 15, 30, or 45 times) to maximize rewards.
Hall of Heroes
There are three different summons:
- Advanced Summon: The first 14 days offer a beginner-exclusive version, which is less valuable. Limit yourself to a maximum of 200 summons for this one. Save your tickets for 600 pulls in the advance summon after 14 days to get the best rewards (Heroes select card).
- Common Summon: Summons 2-5 stars heroes, ideal for fodders. Summon tickets are easy to obtain, so it’s best to wait for a rewards event before using them.
- Synergy Summon: 50 summons guarantee a chosen Synergy character. As a new player, with limited resources, it is better to avoid this pool and save it for later.
Note: Regardless of the summon, it’s highly recommend NOT to spend diamonds for summon
Synergy Archive
When you get a new character or when they are advanced, visit here to claim rewards that increase team stats.
Rankings
This shows rankings of all the players (including yourself). When someone achieves specific milestones, rewards are given out to all players.
Other Game Modes
Heroes – Character Development Area
- Leveling Up: Focus on five main characters. The game system will treat these five upgraded characters as primary, with other characters inheriting their level and weapon stats. You don’t need to invest resources in each character
- Gears Choices: Prioritize choosing and upgrading “weapon”. When leveling up or buying higher-level gear, always start with a weapon. The buy and sell price for all gear is the same, so feel free to buy, as dismantling them. The resources invested will return as well.
- Rune: Rune can be complex for now. For beginners, it’s best to follow game recommendations. If you’re low on runes, switch them between different characters.
Limited-Time Events – Upper Right Corner of the Main Screen
- 999 Valkyrie Bestowal: It has a total of four rounds. The first two rounds don’t include Divine/Demon characters. Check with the magnifying glass to confirm. The third and fourth rounds will have Divine/Demon characters. Check the tier list for recommendation
- Season Exclusive – Oath recall and Forge summon: If you’re not a spender, it’s difficult to have resources to make the summon. There’s one free pull per day for oath recall. You can try your luck on the free pull. But no free pulls for forge summon for the new relic. So it’s not recommended for new players to use all your diamonds for this. For spender, you can exchange diamonds for tickets (50 tickets for oath recall ticket, 25 for forge summon ticket).
- Goddess Trials: Even without spending money here, beginners should be able to complete all tasks. The rewards are good. And the tasks help you understand the game better, so it’s encouraged to complete as much as possible.
Wilderness
Must-Play PvE Challenges for Beginners
Gloomwoods
- Left Side – Vileflower: Do this twice daily.
- Right Side – Terra occupation: It is easier for beginners to occupy the lower tier Terra. Higher tier of Terra are highly contested.
Celestial Trials
This is challenging for beginners, so it is better to follow the clear record. The higher the level, the better the rewards. Aim to reach level 71 as a minimum goal as long term goal. But don’t stress if you’re not strong enough yet
Labyrinth
A source for relic Summoning Tickets. Labyrinth resets every two days. Start from the lowest difficulty, and if completed, attempt a higher difficulty after reset. If you can’t finish the level (too hard), wait for the reset to start again. A quick sweep will be available once you have completed the level in nex reset.
Rift Odyssey
This is a seasonal challenge. I won’t be covered in detail here. Beginners should experiment it without pushing too hard.
Lost City
It provides Oracle and advance summon tickets. Follow the clear record to try each stage. Full stars are needed for Oracle ticket, but you can proceed to next stage without it. Come back later to finish it when you get stronger.
Palace of Penrose
Important source of upgrade materials. Follow clear records and try to go as far as possible.
Forgotten Land
Consists of four stages, each providing different materials and hero shards. Follow clear records as in Celestial Trials. The higher the level, the better the rewards. No need to rush if it’s difficult.
Arena
This is PvP mode. Beginners can experiment and learn from others’ team strategies by watching battle reports. Since the combat system is complex, it’s beneficial to watch battle replays and learn from them.
Seasons
A new season starts every two months. Check for season guides as they release
