6-Month Strategy Guide for Beginners [Early to Mid-Game]

Below is a month-by-month plan to help newer players prioritize unlocking the right heroes at the right time, optimizing your team’s strength, particularly for Rift Odyssey (RO).

Month 1

Elmer

  • Assuming you won’t make more than 100 Oracle Tokens in your first month.

Month 2

Elmer, Astrid

  • 7-star Elmer is enough for infinite survival in Rift Odyssey when paired with the undying shield artifact.

Month 3

Seraphina, Leandra

  • Acquiring Seraphina now allows you to use the powerful ASA combo (Atropos, Seraphina, Astrid).

Month 4

Leandra, Catherine

  • 7-star Leandra, paired with Atropos and Elmer, gives you a stable Valiantors team, especially when combined with Macaria, who is easy to obtain.

Month 5

Leandra, Catherine

  • You’ll get Catherine’s final copy via the 180-day login reward.
  • Further empowering Leandra enhances both PvP and PvE performance.

Month 6

Seraphina (final copy via the 210-day login reward), Astrid

By the end of the 6th month, you should end up having the following heroes:

  • 7* Elmer, 7* Astrid, 8* Leandra, 8* Seraphina, 8* Catherine. [This list does not include any other heroes you’ve pulled along the way].

Your PvP/PvE teams will likely consist of the following heroes:

Valiantors Team:

  • Elmer, Catherine, Leandra, Macaria, Nyx / Themis temporary can replace a hero.

Glorians Team:

  • Twins, Seraphina, Atropos, Nawi, Astrid

Hero List

The rest of the heroes you should focus on (up to 8/9 stars) are listed below. Keep in mind that you can afford around 2.5 heroes per month.

Nyx 8* – You already have a strong Valiantors team. Nyx will complete it gradually, and she’s a great hero in other modes as well (such as GS, CT, and Mines), thanks to her Striker synergy. She pairs well with Catherine, Nawi, and Atropos.

Gloria 8* – An amazing hero in both PvP and PvE. She’s a slightly weaker DPS than Ariana but overall more useful.

Ariana 9* – A great DPS Glorian hero for PvP. While she lacks in PvE, she scales well with her star level, which is why she should be taken to 9 stars.

Audrey 8* – A pretty broken hero with solid all-around kit, fits Dooms team.

Ophelia 8* – A core member of the reflect Doom team.

Althea 8* – A must-have hero for the Avengers team.

Janna 8* – She may be overshadowed by Aphrodite, but she’s still valuable for a second Avengers team, or main team up until Aphrodite becomes available.

Narissa 8* – A slightly weaker version of Aphrodite, requiring exclusive runes to be effective fully effective.

Lamia 8* – A solid filler hero for Doom teams.

Madelyne 8* – Another good filler hero for Doom teams.

Elowyn 8* – She’s a decent hero, but unfortunately, Ethereals are currently not the best. F2P players can’t get the strongest Ethereal hero [Eudora], so Elowyn ranks lower in priority based on her usability.

Lysandra 8* – Similar to Elowyn, but a much weaker hero overall.
