One Room Nightmare – How to Not Die Guide

Useful Tips for New Players

You wake up in a room with three doors: the entrance, the bathroom, and a closet. There’s a kitchen to your right with a monitor, closet, and breaker box. To your left, there’s a bedroom and a window. You hear laughter outside. What should you do? Read this guide to find out! Warning: This guide contains spoilers.

The Basics

You’re trapped in an apartment with monsters. Your goal is to avoid getting eaten, slapped, trapped, or killed. You also need to manage your power, which will be covered in the next section.

Power Management

Power is important in this game to avoid getting killed by the monsters. Different lights use different amounts of power and work in different ways:

  • Front: Press to turn on and off.
  • Bedroom: Same as front.
  • Kitchen: On a timer.
  • Window: Motion activated.
If your power goes out, you’re in trouble. Avoid that.

Monsters

Each monster works differently and needs to be dealt with in a specific way. Here’s a section for each monster:

Teeth

Teeth breaks in and eats your head if not handled correctly. He yells to signal his arrival. To avoid him, turn on the front light or hide in the closet or bedroom. If you don’t, he’ll eat you. Teeth is tall, skinny, and has many teeth. He seems happy, hungry, and goofy.

Baby

Baby hides in the bathroom. You can avoid her by hiding in the closet or opening the bathroom door while she’s hitting her face on the wall next to the toilet. If she gets out and stands in the dark in front of you, it’s too late. Baby has awful teeth, bloody clothes, and a deformed face. She seems hostile, mopey, and irritable.

Hand

Hand breaks your breaker, and the only way to stop her is by looking at her, which activates the kitchen light and drains your power. If you let her break the breaker, she’ll break you too. There might not be a way to prevent this. Hand wears makeup, has a stitched mouth, and large claws. She seems vain, arrogant, and likes makeup and ripping off faces.

Puppet

Puppet is annoying. She pops up and stays there for a while. That’s all. Puppet is a wooden marionette. She seems sadistic and apathetic.
