Helpful Tips for Beginners

Starting Tips

• Picks you want to be using are Apocalypse for Picks, Rockshield for blocks, Fork + Anti-Chronos for most of the furnace crafting (exceptions are mythic machines – use Frank’s Pie-axe for those), Heart for Mob Grinding.
• For quick prestiging, Bonefish is best until you hit Blighted Planet.
• Tritium Pickaxe power is best source of Tritium.
• You’ll want to get a minimum of 50 AC before ascending for the first time, but I’d recommend 85-100.
• Extra Furnace is a must when you ascend for the first time.
• When rushing prestiges, skip mob items and furnace only crafts, like Circadian Hourglass, Dyson Sphere, and Unity. You may also want to skip Dawn/Dusk stones in Twilight Forest and “pure” blocks in Blighted Planet.

Boosting PPS

If you want pps fast make sure you use some of these tricks:

• Cookie Pickaxe when idle (2× pps).
• Combination of Meatloaf pickaxe, pps potion and crit potion.
• (Meatloaf will give you Meatloaf’s Love which increases your crit DMG, crits make more pps and pps potion will make a pretty good score).
• Adnotation to point 2: If you have “Best Friends!” achievement (the one with Meatloaf) then equip Meatloaf and switch to Cookie, you will get Meatloaf’s effect while you didnt need to activate it!

Good Ability Combos

Note: Pickaxe Ability means any Pickaxe Ability that destroys blocks with one tap or auto-breaks.

• PPS Potion + Pickaxe Ability
• Optional Abilities – Potion of Beyond/Ability Buffer
• Good for a lot of Picks early in the game.

• Potion of Luck + Pickaxe Ability
• Optional Abilities – Potion of Beyond/Ability Buffer
• Good for gaining rarer blocks in large quantities and quickly.

• PPS Potion + Potion of Luck + Potion of Critical Strikes + Pickaxe Ability
• Optional Abilities – Potion of Beyond/Ability Buffer
• Amazing for gaining large quantities of picks in a short period of time.

• Ability Buffer + Potion of Beyond + PPS Potion + Potion of Luck + Pickaxe Ability
• Optional Abilities – Teleport/Potion of Critical Strikes
• Possibly the best combo. Amazing for rare blocks AND Picks. Picks especially.

Want Cheese?

• Potion of Luck + Pickaxe Ability + Moon
• Optional Abilities – Potion of Beyond/Ability Buffer
• Decent for Cheese grinding, but not the best.

• Yogg’s Tentacle (Pickaxe) + Potion of Luck
• Optional Abilities – Potion of Beyond/Ability Buffer
• A very good way to get Cheese quickly. Yogg’s Tentacle can be found in Chests.

Want More Out of Teleportation?

Here’s a few ideas to get you going!

• Chronos Pickaxe Ability + Teleport
• Optional Abilities – Potion of Beyond/Ability Buffer/Potion of Luck
• Great way of getting more time in the special Biomes to get more items.

• Potion of Luck + Teleport + Pickaxe Ability
• Optional Abilities – Potion of Beyond/Ability Buffer
• Great for gaining Aether Dust, Cursed Books, and Uranium quickly.

Tips for a Better Powerful Anvil

Equip max 4 other abilities that have a low cooldown time, such as:

• Buffer
• Crit potion
• Tnt
• Reload

If you have only 3 or 4 slots, I recommend to use Tnt, crit potion and anvil for 3 slots and Tnt, crit potion and buffer/reload for 4 slots.

• Equip the anti-chronos pickaxe and use its effect. (X5 Speed).
• The first 2 tips are more effective with an high level of “fuel pickaxe” that gives +2 seconds per level.
• Fire and Ice machines help too, but because of the x5 speed you can’t catch them on the pick power.
• [Optional] If you want, use the cookie pickaxe or rainbow pickaxe (if you have them) for some picks farm meanwhile the power pick recharges.

How to Craft the Dyson Sphere

You’ll need to unlock The Sun in order to obtain a Dyson Sphere. You’ll want to have Frost Aura and the Gas Compressor equipped, Gas Compressor especially because you’ll need a LOT of Hydrogen.

• Crafting 1 Dyson Sphere Part will require 1 Quantum Chip (obtainable through the Furnace), 1 Hydrogen (obtainable through the Gas Compressor), 1 Tritium (obtainable through the Furnace), and 1 Plasma (found naturally on The Sun), and will take 40 seconds (without any Furnace boosts).
• Crafting 1 Quantum Chip will require 3 Qubits and 2 Hydrogen.
• Crafting 1 Qubit will require 3 Tritium, 2 Hydrogen, and 1 Plasma.
• Crafting 1 Tritium will require 3 Plasma, 3 Star Core, and 1 Sunspot (all naturally found on The Sun).

It’s a lot of crafting, I know. But that’s why each Dyson Sphere gives you a whopping +8,000 PPS!

How to Unlock the Mergecrafter Pickaxe

• Merge a total of 100 blocks (anywhere).
• Click the = menu on the top right and click more games.
• That’s it. Just redeem your pickaxe.

Here is the block order, the pickaxe is supposed to Spawn 50 blocks from this list, twice. If you could not access the biome that the block was on, It would restart to 1.

How to Achieve 100% Purity (Infected Planet)

• Make sure that “pickaxe lighter” in player skill tree is on lvl 5.
• Use Purity Pickaxe for that.
• If you have blue mythical machine then DON’T pick any shards when ability is active.
• Just wait and use ability again when its ready.
• At start you will biuld up purity meter by 2% or so but later its going down at slower rate.

(If you reach 100% then in next prestige you can build it up by 20% per ability, and without it going down. So reach 100% again in every prestige to keep is easy).

Even better way to help cut down on the ability grind time is to begin a boss battle right after the pickaxe power activates. This will immediately deactivate the power and start the timer for the next one. (This is especially useful if you have a long pickaxe power duration).

General Tips

• Transcending will increase the max skill points you can use in your skill tree. This works for almost all skills, like block fortune.
• To transcend a tree, you will need Enderpearls, which you can get from prestiges. The price of transcending a tree will be 1 Enderpearl twince and then increase by 1 until 15 Enderpearls.
• There’s no limit known to transcend.
• To prestige you will need: Have Endstone Pickaxe upgraded. Ex: Prestige 5 – pickaxe lvl 6, be in The End biome and have the current required picks (not picks per second).
• Some skills have a logaritm applied after a certain level. This means that you wont always get +3% of artifact finding, for example. After a certain level, you will start getting less and less percentage of the current skill. Impatient lockpicker has a limit of 10%, which means it’s impossible to have 10%, but only near that. This only applies to percentages.
• Spawn rate of mobs depends of Mob Lure (and Chest mobs, for mobs holding a chest), but it also increases the chance to spawn: Tumbleweed, Starfish, Asteroid, Ocelot, Astronaut and Ocean Guardian.
• You can only upgrade a pickaxe until the current prestige +1, but you only need to upgrade the Endstone pickaxe to prestige.
• Pickaxes that have a low level have the same power effects. This means a level 1 wood pickaxe will always break a block in a single hit while in fire, even if you’re prestige 100.
